Good evening folks as the Boston Bruins take on the Tampa Bay Lightning at the
Amabile Amalie Arena tonight at 7:30. What gives with the Florida start times being 7:30 instead of 7:00? I mean the early bird special is at 4:30 and that should be plenty of time to get home for the game. Just kidding Florida natives, you’re not all old!
Both teams played on the road last night so it should be an “even” match-up as far as tiredness goes as the Lightning lost to the Flyers in Philadelphia 4-2. The Bruins somehow squeeked out a win thanks largely in part to the Panthers forgetting they’re a good team for the first and Tuukka Rask being his usual SPARKLY BAMF self.
Some interesting points about this game though as it’s a key game for both teams. Boston has had taking over the division lead, falling flat in lots of those games, however they’re on the road where they are a much better team. Yet Tampa just broke a 9 game winning streak so they’re looking to rebound, but the B’s are also looking to rebound from their game last night and look to be more consistent. (St. Patrice if I type “look to be more consistent in a game opener one more time I will flip some tables)
Okay, got that out of the way
So in terms of non-game-related superstitious shenanigans to determine the outcome of this game I give it a solid
