I think this article demonstrates what a poor job analytics does in describing or placing a value on anything involving creativity…. including hockey. Everyone can put that in their fancy stat pipe and smoke it!
The thing to learn from this: Yeah, you find out “stuff” via data analysis, but to find out the useful stuff, you really have to know what questions to ask and how to ask them. (i.e. how real world things manifest in your data, which analyses to run, and whether the data even contains the answers in the first place).
For well understood areas such as currency exchange, chemical reactions, etc. that’s easy.
For areas like sports, figuring out that stuff is really an art form that takes a long time to master.

I have skates I really love. I save them for playing and high level games.I have a pair that have more venting, I use them in the summer. The others are back ups for A and B.

I found out there are old versions of Logic and Protools (recording software) for my 13 year old Mac G5. Looks like this thing ain’t a paper weight after all!
