A statistical analysis of the work Bob Ross:
Guy’s got some time on his hands!
I think this article demonstrates what a poor job analytics does in describing or placing a value on anything involving creativity…. including hockey. Everyone can put that in their fancy stat pipe and smoke it!
The thing to learn from this: Yeah, you find out “stuff” via data analysis, but to find out the useful stuff, you really have to know what questions to ask and how to ask them. (i.e. how real world things manifest in your data, which analyses to run, and whether the data even contains the answers in the first place).
For well understood areas such as currency exchange, chemical reactions, etc. that’s easy.
For areas like sports, figuring out that stuff is really an art form that takes a long time to master.
Guys, really. NEVER EVER EVER buy from Sportssquatch. They lied to Discover saying that I didn’t want to return my hoodie, and that I was “just another person trying to perpetuate a fraud to get something for free.”
This guy, Jack Moore, is a fucking piece of work.
Do you have the return shipping tracking?
I’ve always found Discover’s service pretty helpful. Hopefully they can resolve this for you.
Oh yes I sure do! I even have the emails where I was helpfully asking if they could fix the hoodie for me or give me a refund, and where they said NO.
Can it be lunch time please?
Lunch time for me is 12:30
Mine too. I decided upon that just recently and while I love that more than half the day is over when I get back from it, I always end up questioning myself around 11:30 when I’m hungry all over again.
Thanks to Satan81, I have that “Hearts On Fire” song stuck in my head.
What’s more Metal than Curling??
So ridiculous. I love it!
Random observation from my current task: When you type “Does” enough times, especially in all caps, it turns into one of those funny words that doesn’t ever seem to be spelled right.

Good (late) morning, peeps!
That post was a wild ride.
8/10 would read again.
I enjoyed that gif.
P.S.- by “corn and carrots” I definitely meant “corn and fancy yummy potatoes”. Oops.
Yeah, I can see how fancy yummy potatoes could be mistaken for plain old boring carrots.
Good morning All, another double tonight. Remolded skates were better. I’ll wear them again tonight.I should buy another pair before the end of summer (I’m down to my last four pairs!).
It’s 10:30 and I haven’t put pants on yet….typical.
Coffee, bourbon and chainsaw on tap…the possibilities are endless!
This will either end hilariously, tragically, or hilariously tragically.
Googles “Bourbon Chainsaw”
Wow! I’m there!
Yup, praying for you, Stripes!
Bound to be number three.
You have four pairs of skates!?
He refs like 64 games every weekend. I’m surprised he doesn’t have more!
Do you just wear a pair depending on your outfit or something?
Just remember, no white skates after labor day.
THIS is what did in the Seals.
wow recchs to both of you
I have skates I really love. I save them for playing and high level games.I have a pair that have more venting, I use them in the summer. The others are back ups for A and B.
Yes. Do you want to know why I have four pairs of skates? Because I gave two pairs away!
Ha! I love you, you’re a good time.
I recommend a trip to Louisville, Kentucky. Bourbon and baseball bats!
I found out there are old versions of Logic and Protools (recording software) for my 13 year old Mac G5. Looks like this thing ain’t a paper weight after all!
I keep thinking you misspelled Protocols but you didn’t but I keep thinking it.
