Islanders come out of the first period up 3-1. Uncharacteristically bad defense by the Lightning. Lots of blown coverage.
Usually one would expect Bishop to bail them out a little, too. Obviously not tonight.
They looked better early in the 2nd — really kept the Isles out of their zone.
So much for that. The Bolts have had a conga line into the penalty box tonight.
Poor gap control on the Tavares goal. Heck of a snipe for sure, but when you give any NHL player that kind of time and space, they can make something happen.
