The Eastern Conference Final begins tonight

between the Tampa Bay Lightning

TB ZigZags

and the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Consol Energy Center in downtown Pittsburgh.

Pitsburg Ice Ducks

Everybody is so excited, yes?

Excitement

Of course we are! (Ugh)

The Western Conference teams are now determined: The Blues

Blues
and the Sharks.

Sharks

They begin their Final on Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!

Sunday Sunday Sunday

I’m still trying to figure out which recap I want to post for last night’s game. One is much, much shorter and much, much more profane. Maybe we should vote on it?

Which recap version would you like to see?

ION: It’s Friday and that should be a relief to everyone who works a 9-5 M-F job. Maybe you can fit in some pool time this weekend?

I never thought I would get my work done today! I forgot about the welding job until the lady showed up with her car. I went into monster mode. Knocked it out in under 3 hours and got everything else here done, as well. Just in time, the rain is here. Good thing Jo and I are in a cabin and not the tent this weekend. I don’t mind tenting in the rain, but this is the first “camping”trip of the season. I’m just not ready yet.
Time to open the growler of Dire Chinchilla. It’s an Imperial Pale Ale with some pop (9.6%). FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m leaving work in a little more than an hour. My friend from North Dakota is visiting and then my band plays tonight at my favorite venue in town!

I have done nothing productive all day. gif

Mornin folks! Actually, that image is incorrect. I haven’t done anything productive all week except for getting shit-housed on Tuesday night. We made our friend Heather do a shot of the dragons breath, because I’m evil, that was fun. Water on tap. Doing anything fun this weekend?

I’m currently watching an oven to ensure the temperatures is stable and uniform throughout. I’m not kidding.

Watching grass grow would be more entertaining.

Are you at least able to roast a chicken or something for dinner?

Wow. You win for most boring day.

Well that’s amazing

I’m trying so hard to be productive, and I’m failing so hard, too.

This has been me all week. We’re scanning all our files so our office can go paper-less. I we but it’s actually me and I’ve quickly lost interest in this project.

I want to be productive. I was told last week that me & another employee were going to be moving up to a “lead roll” but now we’re building an older model for our old supervisor, so who gives a shit? Also we’re short a bunch of parts to do the job correctly so it’s just supermeh.gif all over the place.

Does anyone follow the NBA? The Spurs lost to the Oklahoma Thunder. Tim Duncan, who has been in the NBA since 1997, played horribly and was just outworked. It quite possibly was his last game.

Are you actually allowed to follow both hockey and basketball? Always seemed like they were mutually exclusive…

I have a friend who does.
Shootyhoops is my third favorite of the four big ones.

Good morning!

BULLET POINTS:

  • In workhorse mode today. Hopefully actually accomplishing things for the first time in two weeks.
  • Last week I bungled things and brought breakfast. Our CFO also brought breakfast. I was in the wrong, so I had to get it this week, too. He walked in and my workhusband goes, “Hey Richie, where’s breakfast?!” – he CRINGED. It was beautiful.
  • Got my skates baked last night.
  • With that, skating for the first time in a hundred years tomorrow.
  • I bought the Hockey Monkey mystery stick pack yesterday, I can’t wait ’til it comes – I asked for a stick for O and a stick for D. It’s going to be interesting to see if they can accommodate.
  • I guess I want a TB-STL final with STL winning.
  • I should probably do work now.

    How did the baking go?

I thought I answered this but I don’t know what happened.
It seemed to go well – it took LITERALLY a minute – I paid and then walked over to the gloves to kill time. Before I even touched one, they were done cooking, and I had to put them on. Only $6, too.

Morning all! Red Sox hit their version of The Quota again last night by once again scoring double digits in runs. This offense is insane.

In the last 4 games the Red Sox are averaging 1.6 runs PER INNING

I need to make time to watch a game. I’ve not been a very good Red Sox fan lately.

As Over The Monster put it:

Still, the Red Sox had to score off former Cy Young winner Dallas Keuchel. And unfortunately, they put up their worst performance on the homestand. Which is to say they scored only 11 runs

    DrHandgrenaid

    “only”

I don’t baseball, but to my understanding we should only by seeing double digit scores in handegg and shootyhoops

Understandable, especially since he wasn’t even supposed to be with the big club.

Funny what those knucklers can do, especially when there are usually only 1-2 in the league at any given time.
