B2B’s 2016 NHL Entry Draft Party Thread!

Welcome to B2B’s draft party!

Round One of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft is today, starting at 7:00PM ET and can be seen on can be seen on NBCSN and Sportsnet. Rounds Two through Seven are tomorrow (Saturday) starting at 10:00AM ET and can been seen on the NHL Network and Sportsnet.

As it stands, the Bruins have the #14 and the #29 picks in the first round. Will they trade either of them in a package for Shattenkirk or Fowler? Will they draft the best available? What even is the best available? Will they draft for need, such as a defenseman or a right winger? Will they trade up or down? Get your drinks, put on your party hats, and buckle in!

If you’re looking for information on draft prospects, we’ve done a lengthy countdown series of draft prospect previews, which you can find here on B2B. Our draft preview crew thinks the Bruins will go for a Senyshyn-type player in Julien Gauthier, but the Bruins are said to be very interested in defenseman Dante Fabbro.

Some other party favors for you:

Elite Prospects has lists of draft rankings and player information here.

For prospect highlight videos, bigwhite06 has an excellent YouTube channel here.

The Edmonton Oilers put together a great collection of prospect interviews from the NHL Draft Combine, which you can find here.

TSN’s staff Twitter feed is full of on-the-floor scuttlebutt. I also like Elliotte Friedman’s feed. Do be careful about rumors and hot taeks you see on Twitter – lots of trolls out there.

There’s already been some drama, as someone might have found Tampa Bay’s draft strategy book left behind somewhere in Buffalo:

My BU season ticket partner on Frederic:

I was very impressed with Frederick at the bu / usndtp game last year. He was one of the best on the ice. I remember looking him up and being disappointed he was going to Wisconsin.
