It is July. Go to the beach.
Or read this article on the worst hockey tape jobs ever. A couple of former Bruins make the list.
What’s on tap?
From the USA Hockey rule book:
Member of a team physically participating in a game. The
goalkeeper is considered a player except where special rules
Possession of the Puck
The last player or goalkeeper to make contact with the puck. This
includes a puck that is deflected off a player or any part of his
Possession and Control of the Puck
The last player or goalkeeper to make contact with the puck and
who is also propelling the puck in a desired direction.
There you go! Helpful!
That’s from the Glossary (which wasn’t glossy at all).
Finally got back on the ice last night. A week off and it felt like a month. Trying to get this zinc table done before the weekend and still get it all done here is keeping me moving! All good stuff, though. Good to be busy. Double header tonight.
Back to work. Somebody find the Bs some Ds!
Just had a full system crash on my computer, but I appear to be back online now.
Come on computer. You just have to hold on a little longer, I promise.
Man, social justice warriors both amuse and depress me.
Yeah, I’m with you. I try not to be a jerk and I try not to offend people, but I don’t really understand why people need to dwell on things.
You should see my fun back and forth with Drance. Blocked me of course after saying I wasn’t allowed to respond to his last tweet directed at me.
(I deleted the initiating tweet prior to Drance’s response triggering the back and forth)
My friend is getting married in September. He is from Massachusetts, lives in Seattle, and met a girl from Northern California.
So naturally the wedding is in…….Wyoming?
I hate weddings.
I’m with you on that. I have no desire to go to anyone’s wedding.
If I ever have one, I’ll do you all a favor and not invite you.
Recch on the name change.
WHAT THE HELL! Who did this?
Wait? You mean you didn’t do it?
I didn’t do it! That’s what makes it so funny.
Such an act seems diabolical, yet somehow sibling-esque…
I didn’t even know we could do that.
but i want to go
Yeah, food and booze on his dime!
I enjoy them. But I certainly understand the many reasons why others don’t.
I’m rather indifferent. But hey, food and booze on someone else’s dime is always a good thing.
I have one to go to next month. Weeeeeee.
I have my brother’s second marriage next month. So very tempted to reuse my first speech… or at least the opener to it. Somehow I don’t think he’d be too pleased by that…
You should do it just to see if he notices.
Depends on how memorable the speech was. My best man would never be able to get away with that one without me noticing.
Then again, I also don’t forget much.
I’m pretty sure he’d recognize it… not as certain for the rest of the family.
The other option is to ‘slip up’ and say the wrong name. That would NOT go over well at all…
Heh, I would probably avoid that.
My best man did that for my name. Granted it was intentional and a running joke in my family.
Yea, he begged out of giving a speech at my wedding. His first wife asked for a divorce about a month before our wedding…
Good morning folks! Just got in to work because I’m in training today & tomorrow and why go in at 7 when the class starts at 9! Uhhh, that’s about it
Morning all. Yogurt really isn’t cutting it for breakfast. May have to get a bagel.
I haven’t had a bagel in a month and half.
Is there some sort of bagel shortage going on in NC?
You should change that.
In a week work is sending my to a fancy HR conference. I also received a large raise. It’s like they knew I was looking for a new job…
The only bad thing about the conference is that it’s in south Charlotte. With rush hour traffic, that’s at least a two hour drive. Oh dear.
Hooray raise boo traffic!
Raise == good.
Rush hour Charlotte == Bad. (weirdly enough, I’ve driven through that)
For an east coast city not named DC, Boston or Atlanta, it’s horrible.
(Why were you in Charlotte? Wedding? Everyone gets married south of Charlotte.)
Had to think about it. Was on a road trip to FL, but wanted to stop in Atlanta. There was a high tech convention there that I wanted to check out. I spent too much time in the Greensboro area looking for Krispy Kreme (we didn’t have it up north yet) and hit Charlotte at the wrong time.
You should have driven another 30 minutes to Winston-Salem. We have the site of the first Krispy Kreme.
Just leave early and have breakfast nearby!
Oh, and check out the latest Bearly On Topic podcast, featuring always special guest Kirk Luedeke!
Bearly on Topic – Episode 25: Where Do We Go From Here with Kirk Luedeke
“The one where Kirk yells at me for suggesting PA Parentaue” :-p
People! Good morning!
WEDNESDAY’S BULLET POINT SPECTACULAR:
I’m still waiting for Donny to pull a reasonably talented defenseman out of his ass.
This I have to see!
This is what we need in a GM – the ability to crap talented players on command!
I love the holiday on Monday and come back to a short week. It’s always hard to go back to work after one of our weekends, but four day weeks make it more tolerable (of course, I work less on short weeks).
I’m sitting here waiting for a Windows update. It’s taking too long
Yesterday, a coworker and I sat for over an hour waiting for software to install, only to find out that the software install wizard had crashed behind the scenes. Took the instructor some 2 and a half hours to get it worked out. Come in today to get it installed on my laptop (cause we’re working on the lab’s equipment) and I don’t have the right hardware to get it to work. http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/le-miiverse-resource/images/0/07/Facedesk.gif/revision/latest?cb=20150630174915
Instead you got stuck with my obstinate masshole self.
Basically. heh heh
Yeah, there are a few I wish were around. But I feel we lost a lot before the jump. That’s probably why many never made it, they were already gone.
