How did the Wings unload the Datsyuk contract and still end up $4.87mil over the cap?!?!?

I don’t know, but this is damn good fun watching them be very stupid

If I’d slept better, I would have made this the topic of the MFA. I’ve been watching RedWings fans pull their hair out all offseason. It is kind of hilarious.

Morning folks.
GV softball dropped again to 3-8. This time it was a 13-11 loss in which both teams actually played pretty well. This is was the kind of loss teams on the rebound have to go through before it all gets put together. We were up 11-10 going into the 7th (final) inning and their power hitter finally got a hold of one and hit a 3 run jack. We had last ups, but couldn’t put it together. Also in the loss we lost our second baseman likely for the rest of the year after he made a previous ACL injury worse. That’s gonna hurt moving forward
I’ve been on a major White Stripes music kick lately. Wasn’t really a big fan until I started watching Peaky Blinders but it fits the show really well so I started listening to it at work. Good stuff
Already had my coffee so just water on tap for the rest of the day

1. At least it was a fun game. Why are our rec teams in shambled right now?
2. I know people who played jr hockey with him.
3. I’m not a fan, but that’s okay. We can still get along. Enjoying any decent music is something I still appreciate.
4. COFFFFFFFEEEEEEEEEEEE

Good question. Moral was up which was good. A few of our players play in multiple leagues and me & our 3rd baseman who’s kinda like a team captain were discussing that it seems like those guys are taking the other league’s compete level here which is much high than us. We’re just not a good team this year. We’re kinda like the Rangers, a lot of players getting older and breaking down lol
You mentioned that in an episode of BoT didn’t you? I remember you saying that.
Well that’s good we can still get along lol. It’d be kinda silly to stop being friends over music :-p. Truth be told though if you play a track that’s some heavy blues like “Ball and a Biscuit” is I’m going to be a fan

My hockey team has guys who are in their mid 40s who are trying to bring up glory days. They even brag about their conquests from college. Please… Grow up and act like an upright adult.
In 9 games, we have 52 PIMS. That’s 12 more than any other team.

I do stuff like that all the time. I’ve broken at least half of my toes over the years, some of them more than once. It comes from them being so far from my eyes – can’t look at where I’m going and where they’re going at the same time!

Good Morning All!
I am le tired after my mission to get Jo’s boat yesterday. I got back in time to get some work done and take a nap before going to the rink last night. She loves the boat!
Jo and I don’t have AC. We go to the rink in the evening and by the time we get home the fans have cooled the house down. We shut it up in the morn and don’t open until it gets hot inside (late afternoon).
We do sometimes clean the pool a lot when it is unbearably hot. This must be done from inside the pool!
Hockey, please!!
Second cup o jo on tap. Then lots of water.

This time of year isn’t bad. Pollen is low and leaves aren’t falling yet. Did you ever have one of those days when flying ants decide your pool is a great mass suicide location? Yeah, those are fun!

Not flying ants but potato bugs this year. I had so many one day that after I cleaned out the trap it was a 1/4″ thick of dead beetles
My feeling about bug traps is that they attract more than they catch. They attract the bugs from your neighbors yard and beyond. Then they catch some of those bugs, making them appear to be helping.Since I stopped using traps, I have fewer bugs and beetles to contend with.

Oh not like a bug trap, but the filter trap on my pool after running it one day after I shocked it in the morning cause it was full of them lol.

Oh! Yes, they get filled up. Sorry, you confused me (easily done!). When I came to work here, beetle traps were the accepted means of pest control around the roses. There were a goxillion beetles here. Since, I put milky spore in the lawn and got rid of the bait traps – no beetles – except in the trap in the pool.

I’ve found the best way to do bug traps is far away from the place you want them to not be.

We had those beetle traps when I was in high school. I used to have to dig non-trivial holes just to bury the disgusting little monsters. And the stench was horrible.
I am glad to say that I am now living a bug-abattoir free lifestyle.

The heat is crushing us. And the AC consists of a window unit that isn’t working right.
Normally it wouldn’t be a big deal, but most summers only require AC for ~2 weeks.

Today is the Boston area’s 7th straight 90+°F day (that’s 32+°C for everyone outside of ‘Murica). 2 more days of this and we’ll tie the record set in 1912.

I haven’t watched any baseball this year. I’m not a big fan but I’ll watch a few games, this is surprising to me that I haven’t yet.
It is stupid hot outside and despite my recent uptick in productivity, I am going to take a nap.
Couple of hockey things:
Ha ha Red Wings. You’re so fucking boned.
