Morning Free Association, October 5

The Bruins fell to the PK-Subban-less Canadiens 4-3 last night, but this is a good time for a loss since it doesn’t really count.

I mean, we care but we don’t really care if they win or lose in the preseason since Claude & Crew™ are trying to figure out how all the pieces they have fit together. Of course, like build-it-yourself furniture, there will be pieces leftover. Unlike said furniture, those extra pieces will likely end up in Providence.

For those of you who missed it, because it was only broadcast on RDS en français and you couldn’t/ didn’t find a legal stream, here are some highlights:

First Period:

Second Period:

Jeff Petry and Artturi Lehkonen scored for the Habs.

Third Period:

Unfortunately, Alex Galyenchuk tied the game and Daniel Carr scored to win the game.

Other Notes:

Claude seems to like this kid Austin Czarnik.

Kevan Miller took a puck to his knee and left the game.

Jimmy Hayes made a sweet hit on a Hab.

Remember to hit your Habs and often. Also, score all the goals on them forever, thanks.

The Bruins didn’t win, but it’s always a glorious day to hate the Habs.
