At Bobby to Bergy, our favoured Hockey God is one Bobby Orr and our patron saint is St. Patrice.
Let us take time today to celebrate him before, during, and after the game.
Remember, to bring your A-game tonight!

omg catfish sandwich so happy
this is what happens when you dedicate a thread to someone.
…can we make one about McQuaid tomorrow?
How about Colin Miller? Or Jimmy Hayes? Joe Morrow?
I had a thought when I awoke this morning: Christian Ehrhoff seemed to show some promise during his PTO but was told he would be seventh D and he went home. Does anyone think that the 2nd/ 3rd D pairings might have been better with him over what we have?
from what ive seen, the issue is more about team defense and smart posession than just “unskilled Dmen”….i would have kept him, but theres no way to guess at that time if you were willing to take the gamble of keeping him and not developing your youth to find out how bad off you really are with them.
Too many kit-kats?
Not enough kit-kats?
Black licorice: bad
Absinthe: good
Sambuca: bad
Ouzo: good
Those anise waffle cookies: good
What about the anise ball shaped cookies? Those are good IMO.
Oooo never had those.
The best.
ive got a confession to make.
All these things are bad. I’ve never had ouzo, but I smelled it once when we had some here and I decided that I wanted to maintain a good relationship with m stomach and not drink paint stripper.
Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder!
Oh god, No Bergy on the ice for pregame skate.
Hopefully just fulfilling some Saintly duties…
They called up Sean Kuraly on an emergency basis so, uh…maybe not.
Well, The Bs have actually got a pretty strong record in the last couple of seasons in game’s Bergy’s missed.
Although considering everyone else who’s missing …..
FLA have got some injury issues of their own, however. Or they did recently, at least
NHL to let fans vote who they want…er…but only if they’re a “bona fide NHL player”:

DAPPA DAN!
Just cancel the voting!
Mornin’ all. Lots of not-water last night. Oof.
Morning all.
It’s Tuesday and I slept like crap, but these pictures are cheering me up.
I am eating leftover cookies for breakfast.
I really wish I could stop coughing.
No hockey yesterday was a REALLY SILLY IDEA.
I love all the gossip I’m getting into as a result of carpooling with one of the grad students. Regarding one matter where a guy may have dumped his wife to date someone else (or dumped his gf to marry someone else) my friend told me he will tease things out and then get back to me. It makes things less boring around here that is for sure.
Good morning.
Indian food tonight, which is a rare treat. We have a friend staying with us who is moving to Australia tomorrow and that was her request, so we are happy to oblige
Looking forward to seeing a bit of Jagr tonight. My wife went to school in Czech Rep and sat next to a girl who was obsessed with Jagr – and that was almost 30 years ago! Hope he has a good game but that we win of course.
Bad news about Backes – I have a feeling we’ll need to score more than one tonight to get a win.
Some randomness: below is (hopefully) a picture from the world wife-carrying championship. It’s run in Finland every year and the winner gets their wife’s weight in beer!

I’ve heard about that competition and I love it.
I love Indian food. We had some on Saturday night.
I had Indian food for the first time Friday. I had the shits all night.
TMI.
Information that would have been useful LAST YEAR, when I was still drinking beer!
Good Morning All!
Feeling rested after a two game weekend and last night off.
NIHOA meeting tonight (Nat’l Ice Hockey Officials Ass). Rule change discussions, rule interpretations, etc.
All Saints Day. Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
Working outside today. No better day for it! Heading up to the new house tomorrow!
Hey.
There’s more options out there too. We’ll talk later.
Well, we’ll be in Ohio the night before because we’re going to a game. We haven’t quite figured out that part of the trip yet.
Oh, I mean for podcasting
Oh, ok.
Wait- you”re going to suggest a book?
I’ve gotta stick my head in here again and say Jude the Obscure was the WORST BOOK that I have EVER READ,
I’m pretty sure that reading Jude the Obscure as a podcast would constitiute a crime against humanity.
(If so, we will hear your suggestion but are taking suggestions from people on the podcast first!)
Oh, yeah, we have enough books right now for at least half a season right now…if we survive this book, that is.
I have never been to or seen a Buca di Beppo (deal with them at work but that’s it), so all I can say is that it has a dumb name.
The name is enough that I will avoid them. I mean, all I can picture is CLOWNS lots and lots of CLOWNS. Maybe some peanut shells on the ground. No doubt they would engage in rubbing all of the glassware with scallops, too.
I picked up a Nathaniel Hawthorne book in the library the other day (not 7 Gables) but put it down and went for Hunter S Thompson instead. I get the impression this was a good move.
Yes
