Game Day Thread: Bruins at Red Wings

Normally when the Bruins are underplaying to their ability, I would suggest that they play against the Detroit Red Wings because that always seems to go well. I mean, the Bruins tend to play well against the Red Wings when the Wings are a good team; they’ve made the playoffs for 25 straight seasons, though they are in danger of not getting there this season. Last season in four contests with Detroit, Boston won three.

What else makes this game special? Well, Zdeno Chara has a great friendship with Brendan Smith:

Granted, they haven’t really had a go since 2014, when Brendans younger brother Reilly was a Bruin, but still, it could happen.

The worst part of tonight is that it’s Rivalry Night on NBCSN(+ALLTHEOTHERLETTERS) which means Doc and Eddie, and of course Pierre are broadcasting the game.

Tuukka, how do you feel about that?
