Over the weekend, the Bruins squeaked out a win against the Flyers in the final seconds of the matinee game. Later, the team hopped on a flight to Vancouver.
Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe is reporting that the ramen in Vancouver is the best in the league.

No, that wasn’t it.
Well, it is I guess, but that wasn’t the main point this morning.
He’s reporting that Ryan Spooner is practicing but he won’t play in Vancouver. Tim Schaller is out for this entire trip.
Ryan Spooner is improving but will not play vs. Vancouver. Tim Schaller is out for the whole trip.

With these two players out, the lines are all sorts of nuts.
Prax lines:
Marchand-Bergeron-Backes
Stafford-Krejci-Pastrnak
Beleskey-Nash-Vatrano
Cehlarik-Moore-Hayes— Fluto Shinzawa (@GlobeFluto) March 12, 2017
Sure, okay. I guess Brucey knows what he’s doing.
Yay! Jo has landed!! I have the house really clean (like it’s never been since we got together) and am taking her out to dinner. Hopefully we get snowed in for a couple days!!!!
Hey guys just popping in. Sometimes this site hasn’t worked for me for whatever reason. I’ve been watching the Bruins when I can here, now and then.
Wow, I must admit Cassidy’s team have been very fun to watch over the last 10 or so games. I can’t think of a player who I would say has looked bad over the stretch. I even see Hayes and Beleskey, Moore, Nash and Schaller stand out when they are on the ice. Nice to see the guys out of the lineup try to make a difference when they are dressed. Anyone else notice McQuaid and Kevan look pretty good out there too? They seem less stationary, maybe we did need a coaching philosophy overhaul. Nothing against CJ but maybe this scheme works better for the roster?
Also, I want to thank Phoney for inviting me to the B2B fantasy hockey leagues. Its been a wild year and some weeks I’ve been more hands on than others, but I think I’ve mostly figured out how fantasy hockey works now. Muse, you must have won a head to head earlier this year. I juuuuuust lost out on a bye week with our identical records. Looking forward to the post season and the last stretch to the playoffs for our B’s.
One last thing: I moved from New England to NC in 2000 or 2001 but I remember the same year the Pats won the superbowl. I moved to Italy last year and the same thing happened. I got extened another 8 months since my visa allowed me to work 2 years even though I only planned to stay for one. Which means when I move it will still be the 2017-2018 NFL season. I telling you right now that the Patriots are going to repeat if anyone else here is a Pats fan. So you heard it hear first. Good luck in the B2B playoffs everyone!
You moving has the power of championships!
Also, HELLOOO MY FELLOW BREAD FRIEND
Its been too long my bagel buddy. Yeah it really stings that I haven’t lived in New England for a single one of their many championships. Born a tiny bit too late for the Celtics, old enough to see Favre beat Bledsoe and then the second I leave it rains rings on Boston…..I’m not bitter but what the fuuuck haha
When I saw the “Best Superbowl Comeback Of All TIme” the sun had come up, I watched the post game interviews, then went to get a cafe and go to work with a huge smile. I’ll remember that forever.
Hope you’re keeping NC under lock for me right?
I’m keeping it nice and warm. Nothing at all political has happened since you’ve been gone.
Also, I am moving to Raleigh to attend NC State this fall.
Oh yeah, I keep forgetting its Trumpland now. Weird, I might be moving to Raleigh right on the 440 in my buddy’s house when I come back. If I do let’s go to some Canes games. Its a badass and clean arena and tickets are super cheap these days. Sure hope they don’t move
YAASSS!!!! When are you moving back?
EDIT. I see you said so in your original post.
For all the flak McQuaid gets he does win his fair share of puck races. And yeah, both Millers have looked pretty useful.
Consider at the end of last season everyone was desperate to overhaul the D – they’ve done a great job really.
Fantasy league has been fun. I’ve got Geoff’s team in the “preliminary playoff” and they thrashed me last time we met so I don’t have high hopes!
Totally agree on the defense.
The worst is when you forget to move your goalies and they have a good game on your bench.
Quaider and Killer have been A okay!!
Sometimes, when the site isn’t working try clicking on next game. Usually, I can get from there to the MFA
Thanks, I can’t login in right but I can see you guys
Always nice to hear that the boss’s boss’s boss said “No one cares about Project X”
I’m the poor bastard stuck working on Project X. Literally the only person on a day-to-day basis. Welp, so much for any chance of advancement yet again…
I know that feeling. Sucks really bad.
Bleah. I hate that situation.
“Well, my wheels are spinning REALLY fast” probably doesn’t impress anyone when the performance review comes around.
It won’t. I was in this exact same position 2-3 years ago and I did everything I could to get away from that project. Now I’m sucked back in as the only one with any knowledge on it.
Then at year’s end I get told I have a weak role holding me back. A role that I get told to do and have no say in. Gee thanks guys!
Morning all. Thinking I may try and schedule an extra day off a month. Or at least a half day. This six days a week thing sucks. Woke up this morning with absolutely no desire to go to work.
Between a full-time job and full-time school, I used to do 6-day weeks for years. And then I burned out, majorly burned out. You should take off time when you can because life isn’t all about working.
Full time for both? That’s hell!
That’s why I ended up with no degree and what I call “fear of higher educationitis”.
Had I chosen an easier courseload, I probably could have done it.
I understand your case of fear of higher educationitis
Amen to that.
As this board’s HR consultant, I suggest just showing up to work when you feel like it.
I’m going to print out this comment and stick it on my door.
Hey Guys!
I have three tests this week, so I am likely out all week.
TBH, feels like a good week to skip.
Oh yeah. It’s the Canadian trip. Those start too late for a growing boy like me
So, how are your testies?
Tonight will be rough. I’d just started getting to work on time when daylight savings hit. Now I’m all discombobbled again. Getting sucked into a game at >10PM is not going to help.
You’ll probably be asleep by the time I get home!
Can’t help but laugh at the fact that should everything stand as it does now, an 88-point Rangers team is going to have to travel to an 84-point division winning Ottawa team.
Goddamned the Atlantic is pathetic.
Good morning folks
I know that place…it’s way too much food, haha.
Fun fact: I went to that place a few years back on my last day working in Manchester for my first co-op. I never thought I’d spend an appreciable amount of time in Manchester again after that. Shows how much I know.
That’s not a bad second line.
Good Morning, pals!
A chilly weekend, to be sure. Worked around home. I’d like it to look clean when Jo gets home.
Bs have two guys that you don’t want to fuck with right now – Quaider and Belesky
A win is a win.
Coffee!!! Never adjusted the clock, but who cares? I don’t go anywhere.
Jo should be here just ahead of the storm.
That’s good.
If I were Jo, I’d claim my flight was cancelled and stay in Miami a few days!
Yeah warm weather and the baby has to be a better combo than you and a blizzard.
warm weather trumps me and anything, anytime!!!!
LOL at the bit about the clock!
We have an atomic clock in the living room that thinks it’s in continental Europe. Got so used to taking an hour off if it ever realises where it is I will be screwed…
Hope Jo enjoyed Florida and beats the weather home.
IW adjusted all the clocks yesterday (other than the stove/ microwave/ my alarm clock) including the one in my studio. I thought that last part was really sweet.
Good Morning!
-Good to see Stafford making a difference. Never want to see player fail, even if they’re low risk pick ups.
-Close or not, a win is a win at this point. We need the points.
-It’s too cold, March or not.
-Also, fuck the snow. I’m seriously considering calling a plow guy to take care of my driveway (which I never thought I’d say) because I can’t shovel a potential 20 inches myself.
-That said, I might blow off work tomorrow. 2-4″ inches per hour? Fuck that, even I have a limit on what I’ll drive in.
-On a cheerier note: Weekend was a lot of (unexpected) fun. So I’m at least in a good mood for a monday.
Happy Monday. How was everyone else’s weekend?
Hullo and a happy Monday to you!
I’m not too bummed it was a close game. Philly are even more desperate for the points than the Bs are, and they played like it. We did well to win that one.
It’s lovely and sunny here! Not particularly warm but I’ve been sitting outside reading for the last hour (albeit in a big coat…)
I’ve been ordered to get three batches of laundry done today, so that’s keeping me occupied.
Weekend was fun but all my muscles are still hurting from an hour of karting Saturday morning (I’m in dreadful shape, I have learned) and yesterday we spent all day at a friends house who has a cat. I’m allergic to cats and my lungs are still a bit congested. But a fun weekend on the whole!
I feel your pain about the cats.
I was asked to do laundry yesterday. I totally forgot. I feel bad.
Two minutes in the box for you! You should feel shame!
