Morning Free Association: May 16

Bruins Twitter is doing something to gauge our interest by teasing us with goals, brackets, and beautiful hockey memories of the past season.

Starting Wednesday, you’ll be able to vote on your favourite ones.

Truthfully, I’m not sure how you would make a bracket. I remember some of these goals, like Czarnik’s was in the one Habs game in Montreal. For the most part, I would have to see them all again preferably before I fill something out.

Also on Bruins Twitter:

The Bruins rooted for their arenamates, the Boston Celtics>

And the Celtics posted this as a thank you.

That’s so sweet!

Obligatory “Fuck you, Matt Cooke.” Great piece by Savvy on the Player’s Tribune today.

The last few lines of the post caused all the feels.

I love the inter city stuff everyone does. Makes me happy.

What’s going on with the weather? I don’t feel sad or cold by it. Is anyone else experiencing this phenomenon?

We’re touring our CEO & his group again today for there annual tour today & tomorrow (thank god I’m off tomorrow) so I wont be around much this week. Hope you’re all well!

Same. My favorite was when the 2011 Bruins threw out the first pitch at Fenway after they won the cup. Chara placing the Cup on the pitcher’s mound was awesome.

See my comment below. The sky is doing weird things.

Hello all,

hope everyone had a good Mothers Day weekend.

Probably the two goals that stood out for me this season were Pasta’s OT winner against the Panthers and Marchy’s goal in the first game of the season against CBJ. Not saying there weren’t better ones or more important ones, but when someone mentions Bs goals from last season, those are the two that spring to mind.

Hmmm, basketball. Always struggled to find it interesting. When are you supposed to cheer? Can’t cheer everytime there’s a basket. It’s probably the most global team sport, though, with the exception of soccer, so it must have some appeal!

You cheer when the titantron tells you to MAKE SOME NOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISEEEEEE!
Haven’t watched any basketball in a long time. The last couple of minutes of a close game can be fun to watch.

I like playing it. I can’t watch it though because of the squeaking. Plus I think it’s weird they play music in game some times.

The squeaking always amused me.

The sky is weird today. It’s blue and not gray.

Hey Pals!
Paddling this afternoon in Satan’s Kingdom! It’s a section of the Farmington named for the riffraff that inhabited the area a couple hundred years ago.
Double on the ice tonight. Throw in last night’s disc golf and that’s my triathlon.
I got my shoe stuck in the mud and fell on my bad knee while golfing. It’s bruised, but not in the injured part. I had to laugh, even though it hurt.
Coffee and ice packs!

I often wonder whether guitar factory workers are musos or just the cheapest labour they can find.

Generally they are people with a very specific set of skills. Generally have a passion for music and love what they do.

Cool, that’s great to hear. I love guitars and my Applause (Ovation’s budget line) tends to get the most use as I keep it in the living room.
