Morning Free Association: May 17

They forced a game 7. The Providence Bruins won last night after scoring 4 unanswered goals to come from behind to win game 6 against their ursine rivals, the Hershey Bears.

Danton Heinen describes it best because he was there.

Game 7 will happen tonight! Good luck Baby B’s!

Journal Entry for May 17th:
I wish a good morning to anyone who may find this…. day 7 and still no news on approval for travel….the rare management beast has yet to be seen and i am starting to become skeptical that such a creature still exists. I may never leave this maze of 6 foot walls and incandescent lighting but i still need to remain focused and ready for the moment of attack as it could happen at any moment. The only question that remains is if the assault will be on my terms or theirs.

To be continued.

Heading up to paradise for the rest of the day. Will there be game threads for the SCF? Do I remember this or am I…… never mind.

What’s happening, pals?

  • I still have yet to watch any non-Bruins playoff hockey, other than the occasional gif or controversial play. I miss it but I needed a break I think.
  • I feel like I got a lot accomplished at the rink last night, but my patience for figure skaters is wearing very thin. No spatial awareness whatsoever, and they throw their arms and knife feet out without looking. Super annoying.

  • I really enjoy that I can use Game of Thrones gifs now with some sort of context. I’m still only on season two, but I feel slightly informed, which is nice.
  • It’s really sad when I consider myself informed because I caught up on a TV show. Culture, I guess?

  • I think I need to move into a cabin like the Unabomber. People are trying to take up my relaixing weekend time (and ice time), and I’m like, “stepp off, bitches!” – yeah, I’m annoyed because people want to hang out with me. What is my problem? hahahaha

I’m on the fence about another session of hockey. I can sneak summer hockey into my life before I move. Two teams want me: my current team and the team I typically play with during the summer. The current team is horrible, but we have fun and NO ONE rips you a new one when you mess up. The other team was formed by my bro, but is run by guys who rip you a new one when you mess up.

I think you roll with the current team, it sounds like more fun, and that’s what you’re playing, right?

Just dropping in to say hello.
I’ve been watching the Providence game via… things… and they sure look the better team, save for the part where they like to give up late goals.

While I am happy for the warm weather, I am not looking forward to mowing my lawn in said warm weather.

    Hey Pals!
Great day yesterday! Nice paddle, great double least night.
Finished in time to see Josi’s pp goal. Good stuff. Great series.
    I’m going back to bed.

I watched the game at my favorite bar in Greensboro. It was a 30 minute drive, but it was worth it.
