Stanley Cup Final Game 1: Predators at Penguins

It’s here, the Stanley Cup Final! It seems so strange to call it “the final” instead of “the finals”. I get it: it’s the final series of playoffs games. However, another sport that basically shares the same seasonal time-frame calls their championship “the finals”. Eh, whatever.

Pittsburgh and Nashville had to battle through a regular season of 82 games and win a further 12 games to get here. Both teams are banged up. One team has had a lot more rest. One team fought through consecutive seven-game series.

Nashville is enjoying their first trip to the Stanley Cup Final while this Pittsburgh team basically was here last year with some minor roster differences. Will the Predators inexperience show? Who knows?
