With all the buzz and banter going on about the Expansion Draft, there are some things that get overlooked, lost in the shadows of the possible loss of players to a new team out in the Nevada desert. Sure the NHL Entry Draft is happening on Friday in Chicago but that’s not what we need to focus on today. Today, we need to appreciate the state of perfection that is one Patrice Bergeron.
As we all know by now, Bergy has been nominated for the Frank J. Selke Trophy again having won in 2012, 2014, and 2015. If he wins again, he will be only one of two players to have won it four times since the award was first given out in 1979. The Boston Bruins created a video to remind us of how awesome he is.

Of course, Patrice has done this time and again, so he’s no stranger to the bright lights of the city. So, what does he have to say about what he likes to do there?
What do you usually like to do in Las Vegas?
First of all, I usually kind of hang out by the pool and try to catch some sun and kind of just relax and unwind [“Actually, I stay in the shade,” he later clarified!]. You know, it’s pretty hot outside, but still nice to have a chance to do that, and other than that, we’ve done a lot of dinners and shows over the years, me and my wife [Stephanie], so we’ve done a lot of them.
Ever try your hand at gambling?
Not much. You know, not really. I can’t say that I’ve gambled at all, honestly.
Uh, wow that is scintillating stuff. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, eh?
