Last night the NHL Awards occurred and it was notable for a couple of reasons: 1) the Boston Bruins’ own Patrice Bergeron proved that he is perfect, and 2) the Vegas Golden Knights strip mined other teams for parts to build a team.
"Humbled. Obviously, it’s a huge honor. Also a huge honor to get it from Mr. Gainey."

Linemate Brad Marchand also received one first place vote and others
You may not be able to see it here, but there will be a Baby Bergeron in the near future, possibly October. You can only see a little bit of a bump in the picture below. There were other pics I had seen, however, they had been taken down before I started writing this.
Here’s a list of the award winners:
NHL Foundation Award: Travis Hamonic
King Clancy Trophy: Nick Foligno
Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award: Nick Foligno
Selke Trophy: Patrice Bergeron
Norris Trophy: Brent Burns
Clader Trophy: Auston Matthews
General Manager of the Year: David Poile
Jack Adams Award: John Tortorella
Masterton Trophy: Craig Anderson
Lady Byng Trophy: Johnny Gaudreau
Vezina Trophy: Sergei Bobrovsky
Hart Trophy: Connor McDavid
The show was at T-Mobile Arena, the new home of the Vegas Golden Knights, and it was only appropriate that this would be the place where the team was formed through the expansion draft. The selection on the televised show was clunky and disorganised. Thankfully, someone took notes.

Defenseman Colin “Chiller” Miller was drafted by the Vegas Golden Knights. This has sparked a thousand arguments with the heat of ten thousand suns and personally, I don’t want to stoke the flames. We can have a catharsis thread if you’d like. The one thing I am a little heartbroken about is that this will be the very last time I can use this:
RIP Colin “Walter” Miller meme, 2015-2017.
