You’ve probably heard by now so this is your chance to celebrate. Jeremy Jacobs was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame yesterday under the Builders category.
That’s not why people are excited. Around these parts, we’re pretty stoked that a certain doctor is making a house call. Or should we call it a hall call?

Yes, Mark Recchi was called to the HHOF along with the Finnish Flash, Teemu Selanne, his former teamate Paul Kariya, former Bruins and Stanley Cup Winner (with the Bolts) Dave Andreychuk, Canadian Olympic gold medalist Danielle Goyette, Canadian coach Clare Drake, and of course, Jacobs.
Let’s give him a Recch today!
In Other News:
The Bruins have made qualifying offers to several RFAs: Noel Acciari, Linus Arnesson, Austin Czarnik, Zane McIntyre, David Pastrnak, Tim Schaller, Ryan Spooner, and Malcolm Subban. Linus Arnesson is returning to Sweden next season however GM Don Sweeney had said earlier this month that he would still make a QO for the young defenseman.
Sweeney says the Bruins will extend Arnesson a qualifying offer to retain the rights to the 2013 second-round draft pick who completed the final year of his entry level contract. Though disappointed in the decision, Sweeney referred to Arnesson as still having “a lot of upside” while acknowledging injuries took a toll on the player’s confidence.
Defenseman Joe Morrow and LW Colton Hargrove, a Bruins 7th-round draft pick in 2012, were not qualified.
Joe Morrow and Colton Hargrove were not given qualifying offers. All other RFAs have been qualified.
