The Boston Bruins announced new coaches for the Providence Bruins AHL franchise

Yesterday, the Bruins announced the promotion of Jay Leach to Head Coach of the Providence Bruins. Leach was an Assistant Coach last season.

In addition to Leach’s new position, the Bruins announced two additional coaching staff transactions.
Spencer Carbery has been hired as an Assistant Coach of the Providence Bruins. Carbery comes to the Bruins organization from the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL. Trent Whitfield remains as the other Assistant Coach. Mike Dunham joins the development staff as Goaltender Development Coach. Dunham comes to the Bruins from the New York Islanders organization.

In other news, NBC has announced their new broadcast schedule for the 2017-2018 NHL season.
They have called this their “most diverse NHL schedule ever”.
No, really.

Oct. 5: Minnesota @ Detroit (Opening night for Detroit’s new rink, Little Caesars Arena)
Oct. 10: Arizona @ Vegas (the Golden Knights’ first home game)
Nov. 24: Pittsburgh @ Boston (the “Thanksgiving Showdown” – a Friday matinee)
