Game Day Thread: Sharks at Bruins

It’s a new season, right? It’s been such a long time since the Bruins last took the ice (on Saturday night, which was not alright for fighting) that it seems that another year has passed.

All this downtime between games is good for some things like recovering from injuries. Well, kinda. Tuukka Rask has been cleared to play…backup.

David Krejci remains out and is now deemed week-to-week with a back injury. David Backes will assume Krejci’s usual role as second-line center in his stead.

Kevan Miller seems to be recovered but remains a game time decision.

Of course, Noel Acciari (finger) and Adam McQuaid (fibula) will remain out of the lineup for an extended amount of time.

I, like you, hope the injury bug will go away after this spell.

In the meantime, Danton Heinen has be recalled for this evening.

San Jose enters the evening with a 4-4-0 record in 6th place in the Pacific Division, only ahead of the Oilers and Coyotes. It’s still early in the season so it’s difficult to tell what the Sharks really are but by some accounts, they are underperforming. Maybe they still need Patrick Marleau, who has moved on to the Leafs.

LET’S DO SOME LINES: (Thanks to Jack Edwards)
