Well, it was to good to last. The Bruins finally fell to the Oilers 4-2 after winning four games in a row. It’s not much of a surprise since the Oil are on a trend to defeat the B’s at the Garden in the past couple of seasons.
In the loss, David Pastrnak and David Krejci scored in the first and second periods, respectively. Tuukka Rask, playing in his first game in almost two weeks and looked good for the most part but a bit rusty. The Oilers maintained a 3-2 lead from the beginning of the third period until Boston pulled Tuukka in favor of the extra skater, which resulted in an empty net goal by Leon Draisaitl.
The Bruins next take on the Tampa Bay Lightning in Boston on Wednesday. And it’s a Rivalry Night game on NBCSNOMGWTFBBQ so make sure you get your rivalry night gear out for that!
A friend came up with a great party idea: the Samosa Samoa Mimosa Mamoa party.
It’s a champagne brunch with Indian food and everyone dresses up as Khal Drogo or Aquaman.
I’m on it.
This…this is genius.
I’m hoping to order he tickets for that Winnipeg game for DHG’s birthday next month. It seems that I’m ordering 4 tix rigjt now (Phony, DHG, IW, and me) . Am I missing anyone?
I’m assuming Ben already has his own seat? If so, I think that’s everyone.
I indeed have my own seat. Section 306 row 8, seats 3 and 4.
(edited to say Section 306)
I thought that was 306. That was 308? hahahaha
Uh, yeah, 306. Still finishing my tea.
The tix I’m looking at are the same row and section!
Anywhere between 7-18 in Row 8.
Do you all have any interest in doing another B2B Secret Santa? Let me know and I’ll fire up Elfster!
Yes, yes, yes. Joe and I discussed it at Piefest.
Awesome. I’ll get a link going this week.
Morning all. After a light schedule last week, working a full week is going to suuuuuuuuuuuck.
Yes, a wunnerful, wunnerful weekend. They should all be four days.
Lots of ice time between now and Christmas. I want to tell my schedulers that’s enough!
Went north yesterday. Mo demolitionlllll we’re going to start constructing soon, I hope.
I don’t want to work today!!!
BTW, Tuukka will be fine!!!
Morning, hockey pals! Happy Monday!
I loves me some outdoor skating!!!!!
We have a little outdoor rink in our town. Sometimes it’s even open!
If the weather holds up, I am definitely going to be there tonight. If it doesn’t… I don’t think there’s any after work skating hours til tomorrow.
Why thank you! It was a pretty normal one, as I recall …
It’s very odd. Remember early last season when Tuukka and Dobby were injured and they couldn’t play in front of the kids? I wonder if they tense up or take an extra half a second to think about things when they don’t have full confidence in the goalie.
Good luck with the spinning and skating!
Now I’m just picturing phony doing spin-o-ramas all over the ice!
That will hurt me.
