It’s snowing in New England and all over it seems. Something, something, 2000 mile swath of snow. Anyway, it’s a perfect night to curl up with a hot cocoa and watch the Islanders skate into the Garden to take on the Bruins.
The Isles are currently sitting in the first wild card spot with 35 points, if the playoffs began today, having lost their last two games. Having played the fewest games of any NHL team, the Bruins are sitting in third in the Flortheast having the same amount of points as the Habs with 4 games in hand. Suck it Habs!
Johnny Boychuk will not play tonight due to injury. As much as Bruins fans still love him, since he’s made a home in the NY area, Boychuk has been very injury prone, making that contract look pretty bad in both term and money. Old pal Dennis Seidenberg will be on the ice with Jaroslav Halak in goal. Prepare to be sick of hearing about Mathew Barzal, the rookie with 27 points on the season and the second coming of Jesus or something.
For the Bruins, not much will likely change. Tuukka Rask will start tonight.
