Hockey is what brings us here to watch hockey today.
The Leafs are coming to TD Garden, and they’re bringing Auston Matthews this time.
Both teams are playing well, and the B’s are looking to extend their one-game winning streak.
The ‘Leafs are working on a 4 game win streak, being 5-2-3 in their last 10.
Marchy is out, serving the 4th game of a 5-game suspension for elbowing a NJ Devil in the head. Noel Acciari is still nursing a lower body injury, and Anders Bjork’s time with the big club was truncated after some sort of arm injury in his one game. Kevan Miller was not at morning rushes today after missing most of the last game with an upper body injury.
But in good news, Chuck is in da House!!!
Charlie McAvoy – who had missed time after a surgical treatment for an irregular heartbeat 12 days ago – has been practicing for the past few days, and will return to the lineup tonight.
Tuukka is expected to play tonight – he was particularly effective against the Blues.
He’s been killing it between the pipes all season.
What else can I say?
Oh, did I mention that this is the captain’s 1400th game?
That’s right, Zdeno Chara has played in 1399 NHL games! That’s a lot.
Chara will be the 39th player to have played 1400 regular season games.
