Game Day Thread: B’s at Rags

Once again the Bruins are in Manhattan playing the New York Rangers. So far the Rags have had the Bruins number winning both of the previous two contests this season, the last one in OT. In fact that OT loss is what kicked off the B’s last point streak.

New York is currently sitting in the basement of the Metropolitan Division, just 4 points out of the final Eastern Conference Wild Card with 55 points in 53 games. Lately they’ve been contending with their own massive pile of injuries: Chris Kreider (blood clots), Kevin Shattenkirk (torn meniscus), Pavel Buchnevich (concussion), Jimmy Vesey (concussion), and Marc Staal (cervical strain) are all currently out with several uncertain of a timeframe for return. Having gone through their issues earlier, the Bruins can certainly relate and capitalize on this situation.

Brad Marchand makes his return from suspension tonight. Austin Czarnik remains in the lineup filling in for the still injured Noel Acciari on the fourth line. Frank Vatrano (leg) joins Anders Bjork (UBI) in the injury pool with defenseman Kevan Miller still out with an UBI. What this means is more McGrzcelquaid!
