The Bruins will be playing the Calagary Flames at the Saddledome this afternoon, in an unusual matinee game.
In honor of the Alberta Family Day holiday, today’s game can be broadcast early.
Because of this, we can share some shorts from the Family Learning Channel
The Flames are an actual contender in the Western Conference playoff race, being merely one point out of a wild-card slot. When in Boston recently, they came out to an early lead, and kept the Bruins from getting out in front until the 3rd period. And more importantly, not enough people booed Dougie Hamilton for his tantrum-esque exit from Boston. Will that deficit be repaired today? Who knows?
The Bruins were last seen in Vancouver, stinking up the joint. They lost 6-1 in an embarrassing defeat.
They didn’t play all that poorly, dominating zone time and shots on goal for most of the game, yet the scoring opportunities they gave up? Pure fricking gold.
Hopefully they will ‘protect the house’ a little better today and moving forward.
Grezelcyk & McQuaid have mostly been quite good in his absence, but it seems that Kevan Miller is finally on the cusp of returning to play. Whether he plays today will be a game-time decision.
Let’s do some lines…
