Game Day Thread: Bruins at HawkBlacks

BEHOLD THE ENORMOUS MANATEE!
Bruins at HawkBlacks
The Boston Bruins are in Chicago for the second game of a home-and-home pairing.

The last game saw more points to David Krejci, with him continuing the roll he has been on. This has been critical given Bergeron’s injury. Tuukka started in net with Khudobin taking over today in Chicago.

Brad Marchand got in trouble again. Marchand and Chicago wing Anthony Duclair were into the Bruins defensive zone wit some speed, when the puck was cleared and both players quickly arced around to reverse direction, careening directly into each other. Marchand jumped up and to the outside, catching Duclair via the helmet. Duclair falls over backwards toe-picking on the way down, and injuring his leg.

Marchand received a double-minor penalty for interference.
Duclair missed the rest of the game and is expected to miss 1 – 2 weeks.
Now an unbiased observer veiwing this at game speed would assume it was an accidental collision, but Brad Marchand is involved, so cue the rabble rousers and conspiracy theorists.
rabble rabble!
Note how NBC starts the ball rolling by turning a ‘collision’ into a “high hit”.

In Chicago, it turned into a “clothesline”

The Department of Player Safety appears to have not found the incident worthy of supplemental discipline.

Let’s do some lines…
doing some craaaazy lines, man!
