After back-to-back losses in games 2 and 3, the Bruins clearly need to work on things and maybe shake up the lineup. There has been talk of scratching third-line winger Danton Heinen since the Toronto series. Given that he only played about 8 minutes on Wednesday night, perhaps Bruce Cassidy thinks it’s time to demote him. For the record, that whole third line had fewer minutes than the forth line of Wingels-Kuraly-Acciari. Almost anyone on that line could use a healthy scratch.
If you’ve been paying attention to Twitter, specifically writers that cover the Bruins, you saw this yesterday:
Free Ryan Donato.

Okay, that’s KPD, who likes to yell at clouds…
COLUMN: With the Bruins clearly in need of some kind of jolt in their series against the Tampa Bay Lightning, it's time to insert rookie Ryan Donato into the lineup https://t.co/Xf9fKHnPUE

And Haggs, for what that’s worth (makes obscene gesture)…
Upstart bloggers on Bruins Network seem keyed in…
Light the flare, open the gate: It's Ryan Donato Time: https://t.co/mlPqSzWAcW

Woah, Ty Anderson? Kid knows what’s going on…
Ryan Donato could help the third line. But only if he and his teammates receive pucks cleanly. On bad breakouts: https://t.co/EXpOG3BYPm

And Fluto (behind the paywall) thinks so, too.
Well, yes, the writers are in agreement, pretty much. Anyone else?
The @NHLBruins need an injection of life and scoring in there lineup and I think it comes in the form of Ryan Donato in a top 6 roll maybe playing with Debrusk and Krecji..I’d like to get your thoughts? #Project91 #concussionresearch #keepittight pic.twitter.com/V9MJlJriyr

Well, there you go. Perhaps he remembers when another special rookie was put in the lineup in a second round series against Tampa Bay.
It’s time for Ryan. It’s Donato Time.
