Well, Bruins rookie development camp has begun and we have proof!
I went to Warrior Ice Arena and got to see P-Bruins coach Jay Leech and the Bruins position coaches run some of the younger Bruins & prospects through some drills yesterday.
Present were 3 goaltenders including Dan Vladar
and a slew of names you will recognize from the last few Bruins drafts.
Most notable was Ryan Donato, who actually stood out most for his skating – this kid has obviously spent a lot of time in his lifetime with his skating coach, and apparently has a grudge against the crossbars on the practice rink. Attendees included Urho Vaakanainen, Jack Studnika, Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson, defenseman Jakub Zboril, center prospect Trent Frederic, Zack Senyshyn, the oft-injured but very promising Jeremy Lauzon, speedy Czech youngster Jakub Lauko (because Pasta needs a playmate), guitar legend Axel Andersson, Daniel Bukac, Cedric Pare, Wiley Sherman and a bunch of other guys, but I didn’t write down names so you’re gonna have to guess.
For more hard-hitting reporting like this, you can see the weirdly adorable reporter Dan Vladar:
Other Bruins (players & staff) were in Chicago for a press conference regarding the Winter Classic (surprisingly, the Blackhawks finally get to play in the Winter Classic!)
The countdown to the 2019 #WinterClassic is on!

Charlie McAvoy was quoted as saying he grew up watching the Winter Classic and because of that he always looked forward to New Years Day – to which I respond “Hey you kids, get off of my lawn! Skates are supposed to be leather with a knife strapped to it, sticks are supposed to be made of wood, visors are for pussies and goalie masks are supposed to make you look like a serial killer!”
