This weekend, Bruins prospects travelled to Buffalo to play in the fourth annual Prospects Challenge. The kids have done pretty well, winning their first two games against Pittsburgh and Buffalo, respectively. They play one more game today against New Jersey.

Their second game against a Sabres squad that featured dynamo defenseman and 2018 overall number 1 draft pick Rasmus Dahlin was even sold out.

Here is the list of prospects participating in the tournament:

Ryan Donato
Ryan Fitzgerald
Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson
Trent Frederic
Cameron Hughes
Joona Koppanen
Karson Kuhlman
Jakub Lauko
Cedric Pare
Zach Senyshyn
Oskar Steen
Jack Studnicka
Carson Focht (on invitation)
John Ludvig (on invitation)

Axel Andersson
Daniel Bukac
Connor Clifton
Olivier Galipeau
Emil Johansson
Jeremy Lauzon
Wiley Sherman
Urho Vaakanainen
Jakub Zboril
Justin Bergeron (on invitation)

Dan Vladar
Kyle Keyser
Dawson Weatherill (on invitation)

There are lots of familiar names. However, one seems to be missing: Anders Bjork.

Bjork was slated to return to game action in this tournament, playing in his first NHL associated games since his season ending shoulder surgery earlier in the calendar year. Is he having a setback? Matt Kalman reports that he isn’t and that he’s just not participating. More specifically he felt uncomfortable while practicing last month and wanted some more time to rest it before camp.

Don’t worry kids, he’ll be back in camp this week.

I wonder if Blidh is going to go to China?
My guess is no.

So the Habs have become so terrified of their fan base that they now make trade announcements at 1:00 in the morning?

You noticed that, huh?
It was supposed to be a secret!

It’s all hilarious that they felt the need to announce it at 1:00am because it was actually a decent trade and the majority of Habs fans are fine with it.

Oh right! Time to listen to TSN 690!

I woke up this morning…heh, funny tweet from Adam Proteau…why would he be making a joke about the Habs right n…HAHAHAHAHA

So glad the Habs won’t be relevant for at least another three years. I sent my Habs friend the news article from 2015 about Bergevin signing a contract extension through 2022. At first he called it fake news but then he realized it was old news.

I love it. You can’t make this shit up. Overpayment by Vegas I think? If you’re Suzuki it must be really weird to be drafted by the new team with gimmicky pregame ceremonies and then traded to the stuffiest old team there is, also with gimmicky pregame ceremonies.
