It’s Oilers night at the Garden.
The Bruins meet Edmonton after two wins against Atlantic Division rivals.
The Oilers are off to an 0-1 start, but that doesn’t mean much. As it is the Bruins’ 4th game of the season, and the Oilers’ 2nd, we’re still in the realm of beer-league anything-can-happen hockey.
Let’s do some lines.
Nordstom was hanging around the 2nd line wing, as it appears that Coach Cassidy was unhappy with Ryan Donato’s last performance, though it sounds like he’s going in as left wing, forcing DeBrusk to swap sides. Tory Krug is still out with his foot in a walking boot, so John Moore is still Carlo’s forced best buddy. Anders Bjork remains in the lineup.
Pregame updates per Bruce Cassidy:
Joakim Nordstrom going in tonight as second line left wing. Jake DeBrusk will play the right.

Oilers lineup will feature new guy Kailer Yamamoto (who promises NOT to bomb Pearl Harbor unlike certain other members of the Yamamoto clan) and old favorites Nuge, Looch and hockey-jeebus. It isn’t clear what the backup goalie situation is in Edmonton, so we can expect Cam Talbot in net. Coach McLellan, unhappy with their last outing, has been swapping Ryan Strome & Kyle Brodziak for the role of 3rd centerman, so either may appear based on how they look in practice. (h/t Daily Faceoff):
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins — Connor McDavid — Ty Rattie
Milan Lucic — Leon Draisaitl — Kailer Yamamoto
Tobias Rieder — Ryan Strome — Zack Kassian
Drake Caggiula — Jujhar Khaira — Jesse Puljujarvi
Oscar Klefbom — Adam Larsson
Darnell Nurse — Kris Russell
Jason Garrison — Matt Benning
