Last night Jaro Halak and the Bruins took on the Oilers in Edmonton to close out the season series. It also happened to be the Oilers’ home opener, some two weeks into the 2018-19 season.
The B’s play was much better than the previous night’s effort. After a scoreless first period, our Czech contingent scored in the first and second periods. David Krejci got his first of the season and David Pastrnak got his eighth in the second and third periods respectively. Edmonton’s Kailer Yamamoto scored his first NHL goal and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, who still managed to be on the Oilers, got his second of the season. Naturally, everyone blamed Tuukka Rask.
1st goal of the season for David Krejci. #NHLBruins pic.twitter.com/IXogoE3xHL

Quickly in overtime, Connor McDavid connected with Leon Draisaitl to net the game winner. At least the Bruins got a point.
Aaaarrrgghhhh!
Computer is being a jerk today!
I blame Tuukka!
Old Crabs tourney this afternoon!!!l
Glad to see the Bruins look better than they did vs Calgary, but it still felt like they had some puck control problems in the 2nd.
Can we have 7:30 PM hockey soon?
Please?
Love when I have my lunch all ready to take to work and then leave it in the fridge at home. Guess I’ll be having it for dinner.
