Welcome back to the work week, buds. I hope this weekend of sports didn’t kill you. What am I talking about? The Red Sox won the World Series!
Over the weekend, the Bruins played the Montreal Canadiens and lost. This was the first loss of the season at home and just makes it so the Bruins won’t have a perfect record against their storied rivals. We could pretend the whole thing never happened because everyone was watching the Red Sox, right?
After playing two games with the big team, defenseman Jeremy Lauzon was assigned to Providence. Lauzon performed well in his two games averaging 12:12 TOI. I’m sure we’ll see him again later on this season.Lauzon being back in Providence can only mean one thing: Torey Krug is ready to play.
It looks like Krug will make his season debut against Carolina in Raleigh on Tuesday night. The team could really use his help…on offense. After scoring two goals at even strength and with the goalie in net on Thursday night, the B’s followed that up with zero against the Habs. Sure No Goal showed up in that game, taking back Ryan Donato’s effort in the first period. The B’s could use a little bit of help there. And Torey knows how to drive some pucks into the offensive zone.
