Tonight, a still ridiculously critically injured Bruins team will visit the Little Caesars Arena to battle the Detroit Red Wings.
Last Bruins game, they played the Arizona Coyotes, while having 5 defensemen out due to injury and missing top centerman, and assistant captain Patrice Bergeron.
They did pull out a 2-1 victory against an inconsistent Coyotes team.
Tonight, they play a struggling Detroit team. The ‘wings have an 9-9-2 record, including 3 OT wins and 2 shootout wins, and when they came into the TD Garden in game #5, the Bruins treated them to an 8-2 beat down.
Let’s do some lines.
Last time I did this, I had little info to work with, as there was no morning skate and no updates from pre-game warmups, so mistakes were made.
Now we are hearing that Kevan Miller is expected to play tonight. Charlie McAvoy was skating this morning in Detroit, but is not expected to play.

Last game I left a cut & paste error in the opponent summary here. I won’t make that mistake again. Now let me tell you about the state of the
Hartford Wolfpack Detroit Red Wings: “Bruin killer”, Thomas Vanek, has been on IR with a lower body injury, so of course he will return tonight. Defenseman Jonathan Ericcson has an LBI and is unlikely to return. Winger Darren Helm has a shoulder injury that will keep him sidelined. Aside from that, the name of the rose is “Jacob”, and they still are not good at sharing their vowels. (h/t Daily Faceoff):
