Just four games into his return from a hand injury, Kevan Miller was knocked out of the game in Toronto with an injury to his throat. Miller spent the night in the hospital and was diagnosed with a non-life threatening injury to his larynx which was confirmed upon his return to Boston. The injury is to his laryngeal cartilage and he will be re-evaluated in five weeks.
I guess we should be glad that Don Sweeney invested in defense this offseason, huh?
Jake DeBrusk, who took a puck to his head on Monday night, seems to be fine. He said he felt fine after having the day off.
Brandon Carlo practiced with his teammates for the first time since he was knocked out of a game against the Maple Leafs (seriously Leafs, stop fucking knocking our guys out of games) on November 10th. Bruce Cassidy wouldn’t commit to Carlo returning tonight, saying instead that it’s a possibility. Please come back tonight, Brando Carlrissian!
In an effort to increase scoring, Ryan Donato was recalled from Providence. Since he’s been lighting the lamp and improving his 200 foot game down at the Dunk (Which will always be the Providence Civic Center to me), it’s a good time to see what he can do for the big club which needs both defensive responsibility and goals.
#NHLBruins announce Ryan Donato recall. He's been good with Providence — 5-4-9 in 10 games

Jan Kovar was spotted practicing with the Boston Bruins after being released from his PTO with Providence. He has no contract and may not get one but they want to have a look.
Jan Kovar reportedly on ice with #NHLBruins today. Off his time with P-Bruins, no doubt about his IQ or hands. Pace is only question https://t.co/eT48Vua1to

Remember, tonight Rick “Nifty” Middleton’s number will be returned prior to the game at 6:30. A fun fact before we go:
Little-known Rick Middleton fact: Was nicknamed 'Shifty' by his Providence Reds teammates, per Projo's Ed Duckworth. Morphed into 'Nifty' after he moved up to Boston

Now I want to sign off everywhere with Be Nifty, Stay Shifty.
In doing some research into neck cartilage, I found out that the hyoid bone holds the tongue in place.

Morning all. Has Gritty told you about Secret Gritty? Has Gritty told you to sign up for Secret Gritty?

Don’t make Gritty put you in the box!
Sports ed to me today: “I didn’t realise how huge this Gritty thing is. I’m regretting making you change the picture on the NHL preview now!”
tsk tsk
You should send this to your sports ed:
(that child was never seen again…)
Hmmm perhaps Gritty is stealing children to form a Gritty army and take over the world and rename it Planet Gritty.
Or a single giant composite-Gritty that can rampage through cities
I pledge allegiance to the Gritty of the United States of Gritty, and to the Gritty for which it stands, one Nation under Gritty, indivisible, with liberty and justice for Gritty.
Hi Pals!!!
Two great days on the Shepaug River!!!! I know every wave on the river and have been surfing my brains out! (Okay, didn’t take long…) I wonder does Jack Edwards do whitewater?? The “cuts into the eddy of the flow” thing.. I think of it when i cut into small, boiling eddies in our rivers. There is something about sitting in the middle of the action, but being insulated from it in a space of your own. Okay, getting too deep? Not for B2B!!!!!
Okay, who will be in the lineup tonight? Throw ALL the player’s (where the hell is Rick Nash?) names in a hat and pull out the lineup!!!!!
Monday night at the Stripes – #@%&(+-\% (me groaning as i get up) Jo – “where are you going?” Me – i need to bring more wood in and load the stove. . Jo – “You need to rest so you can paddle tomorrow! STAY HERE! !!!” – proceeds to go get wood and load stove. She’s a keeper! !! I need to make her a special dinner tonight as she won’t get in til game time..
Jo is a gem!
A keeper indeed!
He loves his skiing doesn’t he so it’s got to be a possibility
As of early last month, he was still struggling with post-concussion issues:

Thank you!
Even now, he fits in with this team perfectly.
