Last Monday night, the Bruins were in San Jose playing a wild ride of game that resulted in an overtime win for the traveling B’s. Last night, the result was nowhere near the same.

The game had a whole bunch of action like: fighting!

injuries!

scoring!

Erik Karlsson chose this game to return to the Sharks lineup after dealing with a nagging groin injury. He chose poorly because he couldn’t finish the game. And he got beat by our totally talented and charming Rad Brad Marchand for a short-handed goal.

A great way to start the homestand after the wildly successful western roadtrip. Hopefully, Thursday night will be just as awesome against Tampa Bay.

Dang, that was a great game!

Side note: Zucarrello and Lundqvist must be the saddest guys in hockey this week.

Too lines from last night’s double: my partner makes an easy high stick call, while he escorts the guilty party to the box, dude’s teammate chirps “is that the kinda cheap shit you guys are gonna call tonight?” I blow whistle, ” 19 black, two minutes unsportsmanlike conduct… that’s the kinda cheap shit we’re going to call. ”
To the player with the “porn star” sticker on their helmet who was being a dick: “Hey, if you’re going to wear a porn star sticker on your helmet, you real!y oughta score at least once in awhile, huh?, Just sayin’.”

One player gave me the line from Pasta’s DD commercial about the missed calls…. a guy I know, he was messin’ with me…. I told him one I like better – Ref, are you pregnant??? ‘Cause you just missed three periods! He told me he hadn’t heard that one…. It’s okay, bro…. I’ve heard ’em all!

I don’t mind getting chirped, as long as you’re clever…. you might even receive a get out of jail card, if you’re funny enough.

The kid who was about to take a penalty shot and said ” Put you’re rain gear on, ref, I’m gonna pop that water bottle (the one on top of the net, duh). ”
When he actually did it…. I had to tell him he had a lifetime get out of jail free card…. what else could I say ( while trying not to laugh in front of scorched goalie)?

Morning all. Been up since about 2:30 this morning thanks to stress/anxiety. Weeeeeeeeeeee!
Saw a pic of Debrusk on the Twitter thing this morning and he looked like Johnny Boychuk.
It’s frigid out and my office is frigid.

Heya,

Watched the first period live, then went to bed just before the good stuff started!

This is a good time to play Tampa – Bs confidence should be sky high and if they can beat the bolts this week they’ll go into the playoffs believing they can go all the way.

Am I getting ahead of myself? Playoffs are about to start right???

I wasn’t able to watch the game live, but I later watched the second period. The Bruins could have scored 8 in that period but they let up. They had killed the Sharks

DeBrusk from Krejci and Johansen…. a thing of beauty!

It was like they’ve been together all season. Have we found our 2RW?

DeBrusk’s recent success has been partially due to Krejci’s ability to get him the puck when he’s gotten himself to a spot to do some damage. If Johansson can fit into that, we may be in a really good spot. The Backes line is getting closer to where it needs to be – I like having Cehlarik in our back pocket. When Pasta comes back, does he displace Heinen or MoJo?

Future.
Bright.
Shades.

Sometimes you just need a little tinker to get all the parts working!

We should keep in mind that the Sharks defense is not exactly tight and Karlsson was clearly hobbled. But yeah signs point to good potential there for sure.
