Today, we’re abandoning the normal Friday scheduled content to talk about that game last night because holy crap it was good.
Tampa Bay is perhaps the most frightening team in the league this season having already amassed 102 points on the season and riding a 10 game win streak. Boston has also been awesome riding a 14 game consecutive point streak and going 10-0-4 since the last week of January. So last night’s game had the potential to be a difficult loss.
But it wasn’t.
David Backes fought a guy in the first but not much happened in that period otherwise.
Then Jake DeBrusk continued his scoring ways (except for that Blues game that totally didn’t happen) with a power play goal!
JAKE DEBRUSK JUST WON’T STOP SCORING GOALS!!!! 7 GOALS IN 8 GAMES!!! CAN’T STOP WON’T STOP. 1-0 #NHLBruins pic.twitter.com/rM76ZWiTV7

In between goals, this happened to Sean Kuraly.

He left the game and entered into the concussion protocol by the spotter.
Brandon Carlo seemed fine after game, per Cassidy. Sean Kuraly was taken out of game by concussion spotter.

Then, something I predicted would happen did!
My boy is going to score a goal tonight!
Also, can we have Kuraly back in the fishbowl tonight? He played so well with it https://t.co/k707n7D5iQ

Tamp scored in garbage time, ruining the shutout for Tuukka but he can’t complain. Going 16-17 (ES), 2-2 (PP), 2-2(SH) and .952 on the night, Tuukka had a good night.
Great win, boys!
The power of the fishbowl confirmed:
My puppy Vegas is 4 today guys!
And she hasn’t successfully gouged out her eyes yet. She’s trying but not succeeding. This morning at the vet, she showed me how excellent she is at zone defense with her big cone on her head.
I am so proud of my boy FishNoel for getting a goal and an assist last night.
Happy birthday Vegas
A fish bowl and conehead perfecta!!l! Great day!!!
Typical Tootsies!!!!
Oh the sports reporter on the Canada channel this morning said Tampa beat the Bruins 4-1. YOU ARE FAKE NEWS CANADA!
AND I AM NOT ANONYMOUS!
Oh! Canada….
Morning all. I want fishbowls on the whole goddamn team! Fans too, fishbowls for everyone!
I wish I could find a better quality video of this, but I love the aggression in the reaction to the Marchand goal
Domingue is a serial stick abuser. Here he is in October vs the Blackhawks
And apparently it goes back to his days in the minors:
And Juniors:
Hiya Pals!!!
Wow!!!! The Bruins made a statement last night!!! Yes, Tampa was at the end of a four(4, count ‘ em, four game road trip) , but they didn’t have the energy the Bruins had at the end of their road trip. Not to get down on them, but (this is where I get down on them) they remind me of the Bruins in 2010…. not quite ready for prime time….. all I’m saying is, the door is open and the Bruins put their collective feet in it last night! The Craps seem content now that they have their Cup…. the road goes through Tampa in the East, and the Bruins are poised at the threshold!!!! Aaahhhhh!!! I waxpoetic, but I believe the words, therefore they are!!!!
Okay a lil too much coffee….. what time is Bruins in 2???
I’m a believer!!!!!
Morning boys and girls.
Well how’s about that? Dominant! Fair enough, Tampa were clearly feeling their third game in four nights but Bs could easily have scored 7 or 8 with Domingue heroics.
Well we have two more chances to prove it was no fluke.
Fishbowls ftw! https://giphy.com/gifs/cat-animation-vintage-W7FzxqyWHVvdS
I wonder what happens when Pasta comes back? I’m guessing he goes with 63 & 37, and Heinen drops to third line, in place of Nordstrom. Do they play on the same side? I’m hopeless with left and right!
Heinen and Nordstrom are both left shots who can play both sides, so Heinen could definitely do 3-LW
I dunno, and am in no way of knowing, but I feel like Heinen has stepped up since coming to Bergy’s line…. the idea was to create more balanced scoring and that has happened!!! TRADE PASTA NOW!! Can’t help but feel that some will react that way…. gotta love fans. It’s a great problem to have!!!
The assist on Bergy’s goal!!! Dude has top six written all over him!!!
Yeah, could leave Heinen there and have a 2nd line of 74-46-88. That’d give a really good top two lines and solid 3 & 4.
Or we could go for three solid lines and one AMAZING line.
Nice problem to have!!
