Noel Acciari is known for clean, hard hits. His teammate Charlie McAvoy affectionately calls him Noeldozer for that fact. Two things that he’s not known for are scoring goals and fighting. He had a good night on Saturday. In Sunrise, he made the sunset on MacKenzie Weegar after being the first Bruin to draw blood on the Panthers. He played his way into 2/3 of a Gordie Howe hat trick, which he actually wanted. “I really wanted it [the Gordie Howe Hat trick], but it just wasn’t in the cards,” Acciari told the gaggle of press after the game.

He wasn’t the only Bruins player to have a good night. Thirteen Bruins had points in the 7-3 rout of the Panthers. Brad Marchand scored to tie David Pastrnak for the team lead in goals. Later, Pasta scored to take back the lead.

Zdeno Chara scored his 200th goal and dedicated it to his father for being supportive in his hockey career and making him train hard. He also had an assist later on Pasta’s goal. Earlier in the day, the team announced that Chara had signed an extension for $2 million plus $1.75 million in bonus incentives, which he will most likely nail. Just book the $3.75 million now.

Connor Clifton got his first NHL point on the first goal of the game. Karson Kuhlman got his second NHL goal. Even Steven Kampfer scored a power play goal.

Even though the Panthers fought back with three goals, they couldn’t come close to taking the lead at any point in the game. Patrice Bergeron capped off the win with a goal of his own, an empty netter for his 31st of the year.

The Bruins keep winning despite the injuries: Sean Kuraly broke his right hand on Thursday night against the Devils and has had surgery. His projected rehabilitation will be about four weeks. Torey Krug and Marcus Johansson are due to return to the lineup soon. Kevan Miller still has no timeline for his return.

With the win on Saturday night, the Bruins clinched a playoff berth for the third year in a row. In Bruce Cassidy’s tenure, they haven’t missed the playoffs yet.

The Bruins have seven games to go on the season, including two against the Tampa Bay Lightning, who they play tonight.

Is Bergeron a hall of famer, or does he go in the Hall of Very Good?

If he gets another Selke (surpassing Bob Gainey), or a Conn-Smythe I think that puts him over the top.
As it stands now, I think he is in “the Hall of Very Good” and gets his number in the rafters at TD Garden.
