Take me down to Penalty City
Where the ice is cold and the play is gritty
Won’t you please score a goal
The early story of Game 3 was the massive amount of penalties leveled in the first period, 6 on the Bruins alone, without any goals to show for it. Justin Williams took 3 himself.
Apparently, Jake DeBrusk and Torey Krug took imaginary penalties.

Carolina came out buzzing, taking 20 shots on goal to the Bruins 6. To be fair, it’s difficult to take shots when you’re constantly killing off penalties.
Tuukka Rask was fantastic, stopping 35 of 36 including all 14 of the Canes’ power play shots on goal. He’s stopped 85 of 90 SOG so far in the series.

Cassidy says this is the best he’s seen Tuukka Rask play.

Carolina opted for a change of net minder, inserting Curtis McElhinney in the lineup in place of the struggling Petr Mrazek.
All 3 goals were scored in the second. Jake DeBrusk had a power play goal in the third called back for goaltender interference, a call that was challenged to no avail.

I don’t know what else Jake DeBrusk can do to avoid contact there. Wasn’t in the paint, got pushed into the goalie

Anyway, everybody wants to see the goals! Starting us off, The Mayor of Walpole!

Then later on, Brad Marchand scored on the power play. After gaining a point for an assist on this goal, David Krejci reached a career milestone.

With his assist on @Bmarch63's goal, David Krejci now has 100 career postseason points, which ties Rick Middleton and Johnny Bucyk for third in #NHLBruins history. pic.twitter.com/jJGnYdFVis

Calvin de Haan bring the Canes within 1, as close as they would get.
The @NHLCanes are on the board.

Chris Wagner blocked a shot with his arm in the third period. He went down to the room not to return. He was spotted wearing a sling and Bruce Cassidy didn’t have much of an update but it looks like it’s next man up if he’s unable to go.

Bruce Cassidy didn’t have an update on Chris Wagner, who left the game late after blocking a shot with his wrist/arm. All Cassidy would say is it’s not good. He said he’ll have more tomorrow. Noel Acciari is cleared and can play Game 4 if necessary.

The final five minutes were a tough slog but the B’s fought off the surge to win 2-1. This was the first home loss for the Hurricanes this postseason.
Game 4 in Thursday night at 8pm.
TAKE ALL MY RECCHS!!!!!
Ha! That’s fantastic
Where’s the outrage over Hamilton not responding to Bukauskas?

I’ll give you some!
1) You know what pigs really like? PEOPLE TALKING STUPID SHIT AT THEM.
2) That guy has doubled down on the hair, he’s hairing so hard right now.
3) Even that pig doesn’t like Kyle Buskaksiskaiskais
4) The pig is afraid of Bob’s Big Boy since he thinks BBB will make him into a burger
5) That pig is named Hamilton? For all we know it could be named after the massively popular musical
Ha ha!!! I thought of the musical over Dougie, too!!
No one liked my song verse! It’s all I could think of on the drive home from the gym while listening to end of the first period.
I really like this new band–Canes ‘n Jerks.
Also, Justin Williams becoming unglued has been so enjoyable to watch.
Well, I did read it in Axl Rose’s voice.
Speaking of penalties, USA just scored a powerplay goal against GB. Our PK drops to 37% ….
I meant to mention what a great write up you did today!! Storm downgraded!!! Indeed, that tropical depression that’s gripping Carolina is due to a nasty Nor’easter!!!!
My Canes friend described last night’s game as “good, soul crushing, ball hurting hockey.”
Probably a good description!
Almost there! Get it done in four then watch the Blues and Sharks play out a bruising 7-gamer!
Morning all. That first period gave me an ulcer.
Hey Bruins, how about you win five more times. That would be fun. Thanks.
Good Morning!!!!
I know I missed a good one last night. 4 games… Do it in four, gents, then rest a bit. Six playoff wins in a row for our sparkly, bamf goalie!!!!!!
8 miles of river yesterday, plus a doubleheader! I’m tired.
I go back to bed!!! I’m missing the NESN replays!!!!
Wagner apparently got a little confused by this ad campaign
I guess Noel Acciari picked a good time to be cleared for play. If they can pull off a win on Thursday, then they should get a week off to heal up.
Hey, most of the ‘Canes have their ass in a sling right now!!l
