Thursday was a travel day for both the Boston Bruins and the St Louis Blues. Matt Grzelcyk, who sustained a concussion in a boarding incident in Game 2, did not travel with the team and is listed as day-to-day. Oskar Sundqvist, who boarded Grzelcyk, traveled back to St Louis and had a conference call with the NHL Department of Player Safety regarding this already penalized hit.
Predictably, Sundqvist was suspended for Game 3 of the SCF. The video sums it up as Sundqvist had plenty of time from the face-off dot to the boards to prevent the hit. He saw the numbers the whole time. He had a choice.

In the meantime, maybe his Bruins teammates can learn how to spell Grzelcyk’s last name.
Game 3 is tomorrow night in St. Louis at 8pm.
