Summer is here and despite the new league year beginning on July 1st, teams and teammates are not currently congregating in any spaces together, but rather retreating to some corner of the world to continue the ceaseless training that is required to remain in NHL shape.
For Jake DeBrusk this means being home in Edmonton, a solid hockey market with plenty of ice and training facilities and his newly purchased home. Sean Kuraly, who is training in Boston right now, decided to check up on the young homeowner in a segment that I hope is a weekly feature on the Bruins Twitter page, Staying Connected.
Like the rest of us, the boys are starting to miss each other a bit…

It’s a delightful conversation between two pals. However, they kept using a term that we olds didn’t understand when we heard it. The kids and their lingo, right?
I'm not sure. But we're totally young and hip, Daddio.
At first, I thought they were talking about the Portal. Then, Post-It Notes. Then, talking about mail.

Apparently, to post up means to hang out or remain in a place.
Naturally, after we figured it out, we had to bring the vacationing phonymahoney into this.
BECAUSE I DONT KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS

I know everyone hates Twitter, but really this is how it can be a fun experience.
I thank Sister for sending me this wonderful video. It kept autoplaying every time I opened the app, which made IW say, “Wow, you really like Sean Kuraly.”
Yes, yes I do. I’m not alone in that either. Just remember he’ll post up in Southie and in our hearts.
