Yesterday was the start of training camp when important things happened. The players donned their uniforms and performed the most important task of Picture Day!
First, Zdeno Chara entered a room that was too hot.

Then Jake DeBrusk and Matt Grzelcyk played a game of “Who wore it better?”
Did you know he's from C̶h̶a̶r̶l̶e̶s̶t̶o̶w̶n̶ America? 🇺🇸 @Matt_Grzelcyk5 | #NHLBruins pic.twitter.com/Xt9FYs9hvf

Personally, I’m a big Cap fan so I’m saying Gryzz wore it better.
Another thing that happened yesterday was word on contract talks with one of the Bruins defensemen. Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic reported on contract talks between Charlie McAvoy and the Bruins
Meanwhile, talks between the Bruins and Charlie McAvoy have also picked up this week. There’s been progress there. Werenski’s deal has helped move things along. Still work to be done but it’s at least moving.

Hold up! Later in the evening, word broke that the Philadelphia Flyers signed one of their defensive RFAs, which could complicate things with McAvoy.
$6.75M AAV for Provorov. He reports to camp tomorrow and will sign the contract.

Thanks for screwing with us, Philly!
Good morning from Warrior!
Brett Ritchie is huge and is wearing 18.
Cool! How long are you spending there? Is it an all day thing or a couple hours?
Sadly, only this morning for me because I live at the dentist. But maybe I’ll come back Sunday for the full day or so. I need some Kuraly time
Practice is about 2 hours and they’ve divided into 2 groups with the second taking the ice at 12:20.
Morning all. Damnit Philly, don’t mess this up for us and make me resent Gritty!
Hi All!
Flyers are throwing a lot of dough at Provorov, who hasn’t been all that, so far. The boys in black have been better…..bueno, no bueno.
Getaway day as we will go north for the weekend. So much work to do and the hint of cold weather approaching.
Oh! Jo wants to thank someone for the lemon pledge on the whiteboard trick. Also, the chicken soup she made with left over spaetzle in it!!! So delicious!!!
Oooo, that soup sounds delicious!
Hi folks.
Hopefully the Provorov deal won’t make too much difference. What can you do with 7mil a year that you can’t do with five and a half? They’re both waaaay more than I’m going to make in my entire career and I’m happy enough!
Interesting thing happened last night – voices coming from my fridge!

At first I thought it might be picking up a radio signal from somewhere but my theory now is that the fridge is in contact with the (very thin) wall between us and the next-door neighbour. So when the fridge door was open it acts like a bigger version of the old drinking-glass-against-the-wall-to-hear-what-people-in-the-other-room-are-saying! You guys all do that, right?
A couple weekends ago, our neighbor’s smoke alarm went off about 3am. It’s about 50 feet trom their window to ours. I jumped up, looking for the alarm, only to hear our neighbor trying to wake her hubby. , “Scott, Scott”. I wanted to yell across, “Jesus, Scott, get up and shut off the alarm!!!” I already knew it was a false alarm caused by him burning things he shouldn’t in his firepit behind his house.
Ugh! Our smoke alarm only ever goes off when I’m cooking (which usually isn’t at 3am!)
The wall between my bathroom and the other apartment’s bathroom is very thin. You can hear everything.
Fourth of July I could hear the previous tenant singing the Star Spangled Banner.
It’s for this reason I save my musical performances for when the neighbours on both sides are out!
