This weekend the Bruins JV club took on a Chicago Blackhawks team that Featured Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Brandon Saad, and Duncan Keith among other starters. The big veterans on the Bruins included Brandon Carlo, Matt Grzelcyk, and Steven Kampfer, all of whom were the alternate captains of the night. Even without the star power and veteran core, the bear cubs manage to take the Chicago Blackhawks to OT, where the B’s lost 3-2.

The game was not televised on normal channels but we had some reporters keep us in the loop. Apparently, Kyle Keyser is a beast, stopping all shots in the third period and only allowing one goal in OT.
Kyle Keyser said he worked with a sports psychologist and has been diving into books (latest: “Mind Gym”) to improve his mental game. Stopped 38/39 so far in 53:54 this preseason.

I guess it’s helping him.
My Boyest of Boys™ saw his first game action and showed that Playoff Brando Carlrissian is not a fluke.
So, Brandon Carlo just (1) broke up a Chicago breakout at the offensive blue line and (2) poked the puck through a defender before the play died and (3) pinched down the boards and shot on his next shift.
If you know Carlo’s game … real good signs

Pete Cehlarik is having a rollercoaster camp. On Thursday night, he was great, last night not so much. He had the shortest TOI. The Bruins may want ti see if he can be more consistent since he’d have to clear waivers to make it to Providence.
Cehlarik played less than 12 minutes, team low, and was the only Bruin not to land a shot. Not a good sign for him

Anton Blidh was a casualty last night, reportedly a shoulder injury that needs evaluation.

The Bruins made their first round of cuts yesterday, announcing that Axel Andersson (D), and Wiley Sherman (D) had been assigned to Providence. Samuel Asselin (F), Chris Breen (D), Alexey Solovyev (D), Brendan Woods (F), and Cooper Zech (D) will all report to Providence.
One final transaction: Bobby Orr has been restored to his proper place in front of the Hub on Causeway. The statue was moved prior to the extensive remodeling on the complex.
No. 4 took flight again earlier today.

Welcome home, Bobby!
Morning all. Steamy one out there this morning.
Also, I love Billy Porter.
High of 88 today
Annoying showers here today. Starts raining every time I step outside!
Well maybe you should stay inside so other people don’t get rained on!
And you must have stepped outside again because it’s now raining here!
Sorry bout that – had to pick up Little Bear from school!
Hi All!
Two days in the hills. No boating. House!!!
Blidh should change his surname to Bleed. Cehlarik… Dude! You have to play every game!!!
Waiting to see who steps up in camp!!
There’s got to be a reason some players seem to get injured all the time. Training programme? Playing style? Just bad luck? Maybe some people are just more fragile than others.
That’s what makes Mario Lemieux so awesome! Dude played through everything!!! Came back from Hodgkin’s disease to lead the league in scoring! Imagine if he was more durable!!
