The Bruins are in Colorado tonight, taking on the Avs!
twothree games, the Bruins are now UNDEFEATED for 2nd place in the Atlantic with a record of 3-0! Their opponents, the Colorado Avalanche are also undefeated at 2-0, and therefore this should be a good matchup.
I’ve said it before, it will be late when this game happens. So there may be some temptation to go to sleep.
But as we know, an unwatched team never wins. Or is that “never boils”?
To sweeten the pot, it’s “Grateful Dead Night” at the Pepsi Center, so expect tye-dye jerseys in the pre-game skate.
What will be the lineup tonight?
Looking increasingly ready, the Bruins are working through their injuries.
Defensemen Kevan Miller and John Moore are still on Injured Reserve and Long-term Injured Reserve respectively, guaranteeing plying time for Matt Grzelcyk and Connor Clifton.
David Backes will be 4th RW again, and Brett Richie will again be at 3rd line RW. Joakim Nordstrom has no longer been skating in a red non-contact jersey, and appears to be back tonight.

Today is the 4th game of the Bruins road trip, this time against the Avs.
Last season, their Landeskog—Mackinnon—Rantanen line was considered the ‘the best line in hockey’, barely edging out the Bruins Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak. However, they did not make it through the season in such great standing. They picked up a couple of high-profile acquisitions in the off-season: Joonas Donskoi from the Sharks and everybody’s favorite headhunter Nazem Kadri from the Leafs. Carl “I play like Carl” Soderberg is no longer an Av, and Varlamov is an Islander.
Ian Cole is out after off-season hip surgery (though he was skating at practice) and wing J.T. Compfer is also out with a lower body injury.
