Morning Free Association: One Point

On Saturday night, the Bruins took on the Leafs in Toronto in one of the 5000 HNIC games this season to feature the Leafs. While the Bruins showed great effort with 46 shots on goal and a heroic late third period effort by David Pastrnak to tie up the game, they couldn’t quite seal the deal, falling in overtime.

The Leafs celebrated as if they had just won the Stanley Cup or another important game.

Anyway, they won without John Tavares and the B’s almost won without David Krejci.

On Tuesday, the two teams are back at it, for an untraditional home-and-home of sorts; The B’s wait for a Toronto team that will face Columbus tonight on the road.

So it isn’t too bad being this squad right now having only 1 regulation loss in 8 games played and having gained 2 points from consecutive games when they pushed for overtime.

Please enjoy this gif from the game.

Glad to see that GH got an MFA queued up last night. We’re both messed up with the first cold of the season, and she’s having a particularly rough ride.

I’ve been trying to enjoy my season tix to the NWHL’s Pride, but have only made it to 1 game of 4 due to conflicts & now illness. Boooo.

Hi folks.

We were away this weekend visiting an old school friend of mine and his family. Lovely weekend but both his kids developed chicken pox over the weekend which limited what we could do!

Consequently didn’t see much of the game (was a blackout anyway) but from what I saw it looked like at least two Leafs goals were due to Bs defensive lapses, so I’m pretty confident we’ll get revenge tomorrow!
