The Bruins are at home tonight, and the Florida Panthers are in town. – Hi Noel Acciari!**
*Noel Acciari is a little banged up, but is still slated to play tonight.
After some games, the Bruins are at 11-3-3, which is still good for 1st place in the Atlantic, but only the 4th best points-percentage in the league at .735 (recently down from well over .800). It’s been a good start to the season, but the formerly high-flying Bruins have returned to Earth over the past week.
The NHL leader boards still have a bit of Black & Gold on them. The Bruins are 2nd in the league in fewest Goals Against per game with a respectable 2.41. The player with the most Goals scored is David Pastrnak, with 15. He also has the 2nd most points with 30, with Marchy close behind him at 29. The goaltender with the highest save % and GAA is no longer Tuukka Rask after that poor performance in Montreal, he’s now at a more than respectable .928 and 1.99. The Bruins still have the league’s best power play at 29.8%, though that is less impressive than the mid-30s they were previously posting.
What will be the lineup tonight?
The most recent injury is Torey Krug, who is out with an upper body injury after getting clocked up high by Claude Girioux of the Flyers. David Backes is still out with an upper body injury after the collision with the Senators’ Sabourin. Jake DeBrusk suffered a lower body injury vs Montreal. Brett Ritchie is out with an upper body injury.
Par Lindholm & Joakim Nordstrom are back. Zach Senyshyn and Urho Vaakanainen have been called up from the P-Bruins, and Anders Bjork remains in the Bruins lineup.
Karson Kuhlman is still on IR with an arm fracture, after blocking a shot. Anton Blidh is out after having shoulder surgery. John Moore is still on Long-term Injured Reserve.
Defensemen Kevan Miller is back form Injured Reserve, and practicing, but is not expected to play yet.
Tuukka Rask will be in goal today.

Tonight, the Bruins play the Fancy Cats (a.k.a. the Florida Panthers). They’ve been a middling team all season but have been more effective recently, though going 3-3-0 in their last six games, and are 8-4-5 on the season for 21 points and 3rd place in the division. They have a few new faces, including Brian Boyle, Noel Acciari, Anton Stralman,
& Brett “dog years” Connolly. Sadly, the amusing Roberto Luongo is no longer playing, replaced by Sergei Bobrovsky. They’ve got 2 guys out with injury – Jayce Hawryluk, who has a long-term upper-body injury, and – unfortunately – Noel Acciari, who did not play on Saturday, due to a lower body injury. Aleksandr Barkov is hot, with 22 points (though only 5 goals) as is Jonathan Huberdeau, with 21 points, including 9 goals. Bob could be doing better, as his GAA is above 3.3 and his save % is under .900. (h/t Daily Faceoff and Jameson Olive):
#11 Jonathan Huberdeau — #16 Aleksander Barkov — #63 Evgenii Dadonov
#68 Mike Hoffman — #9 Brian Boyle — #10 Brett Connolly
#72 Frank Vatrano — #21 Vincent Trocheck — #62 Denis Malgin
#73 Dryden Hunt — #55 Noel Acciari — #7 Colton Sceviour
#52 MacKenzie Weegar — #5 Aaron Ekblad
#19 Michael Matheson — #6 Anton Stralman
#3 Keith Yandle — #2 Josh Brow
#72 Sergei Bobrovsky
(#33 Samuel Montembeault)
