After losing five games in a row, a still roaming band of hockey players called the Boston Bruins finally won a game down in Florida. Given that the were unable to muster more than two goals in each of the last four games, it was nice to see the boys rustle up two goals at even strength, one on the power play, and one an empty netter with just over minutes remaining in the game.
David Pastrnak now has 28 goals, maintaining a 5 goal lead over Jack Eichel, who has 23. His first on the night was the power play goal, the latter the empty netter. I’m all too glad his drought is over.
The second line played the primary role in the other two goals: Jake DeBrusk started it off in the first and David Krejci in the second before the Pasta goals.
They managed to hold off the Panthers clawing their way back into the game with goals by Mark Pysyk and Keith Yandle in the third to win 4-2.
The B’s are back in Boston and will have a special treat this afternoon after practice.
Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto will be making the Boston Bruins lunch after practice on Monday and I think that's the funniest and most random combination of all time and I'm so here for it.

I hope they take a lot of pictures of this.
Morning all. All the emails and paperwork to wade through and all I want to do is curl up under my desk.
Get up, walk away from your desk,……. and never return!!!!
…and she never reported to work again. They say she’s still out there somewhere… watching the post office. On a cold night, if you listen carefully, you can hear her moaning “It me…. It meeee……”
Hi Gang!!
A couple great days on the water and a Bruins win!! Great weekend. Went to services for my pal yesterday….a whole bunch of hockey and whitewater people invaded Tom’s church and told irreverent stories about him…. Awesome!!! Great to be around so many friends… Despite a fair amount of tears, the theme was celebrate the man’s life. All we can do, eh?
Bruins looked mostly very good… and they withstood the Panthers’ push. There will be at least one more slump…. I just want to see them healthy and clicking around the end of March.
Yeah it won’t be a surprise if they continue to be a streaky team. Just got to hope they can be hot at the right times!
I’m still a little unconvinced that they’ve fully extracted their helmets from their pants. It was a great start and a good win against a decent opponent, but it was only one game (granted, they looked fairly solid in the previous two losses) and I’d like the reassurance of another win where the Bruins skaters get pucks on net and keep opponents from high value scoring opportunities.
Yes! Hopefully, this is just a stepping stone to the level they played at in November.
Morning folks.
Good to win again, although at one point it looked like it might be a rerun of the November clash with the Fancy Cats!
Just finished watching the Watchmen series. I found the first couple of episodes quite hard to follow but loved it in the end. Big fan of the book and the film too.
Been awhile since I read Watchmen…. Never watched the film… I always regretted watching LOTR and now have a fear of ruining books!!
Ooh, I haven’t read LOTR. Maybe I should! (Although I only saw two of the films – that was enough for me!)
The books have a different feel, IMO.
