Tonight, the Bruins are back home, hosting the LA Kings.
After 34 games, the Bruins are at 21-7-6, which is good for 1st place in the Atlantic, and 2nd in the league behind the Capitals. They are 3rd in points percentage, behind the Caps & Isles.
When last we left our heroes, they were facing the fabulous fancy cats, a.k.a. the Florida Panthers. The Panthers are a solid middle-of-the-pack team that would provide a good barometer for where the Bruins were. The B’s handled them with aplomb, coming out fast, racking up a 3 goal lead, and weathering a 3rd period comeback attempt, winning the game 4-2.
What will be the lineup tonight?
Looks like the usual suspects.
Brett Ritchie and Par Lindholm are expected to sit tonight out, allowing David Backes and Anders Bjork into the lineup. Charlie Coyle has been shifted to the 2nd RW slot, bringing Sean Kuraly into the 3C position.
The remaining injuries are improving slowly – Defensemen Kevan Miller (fractured kneecap) is still not close to being ready for his season debut, having suffered a setback recently. Forwards Karson Kuhlman and Anton Blidh have begun skating before practice but not during practice. Zach Senyshyn is expected to begin skating this week. Kuhlman is still dealing with his fractured arm, and is reportedly not close to returning. Blidh is recovering from shoulder surgery. Senyshyn has a lower body injury.
Steven Kampfer still resides in Providence, so John Moore & Connor Clifton have been competing for the 6th defenseman spot, with Moore getting the starts after his extended absence. It is expected that Moore plays again tonight.
Tuukka Rask will probably be in goal tonight.

Tonight’s opponent are the Los Angeles Kings. The Kings are at the bottom of their division with a record of 14-18-3 (31 points) and have been a lousy team this year, with a bad power play, bad defense, and sub-par offense. Really the only thing they’ve been better than average at is faceoffs.
Defensemen Alec Martinez & Derek Forbort will be out due to injury.
