Hey, guess what happened last night? The Bruins lost on the shootout again! They haven’t won a single one this season. They’re 0-5 this season. Granted, it’s a glorified skills competition activity. Would I rather the team be built for that or for winning games in regulation? The latter, of course. But, they’re not doing that either.
Last night’s game wasn’t that bad but it wasn’t nearly as exciting as Jack would lead you to believe. Largely, it was back and forth with the Bruins finally getting the massage in the second period that they need to SHOOT THE PUCK. Seriously, that chat between Sean Kuraly and Sophia Jurkstzowicz in between the first and second period was terse and tense as Kuraly said the words that we all want to shout at the team all the time: shoot the puck.
Yes, the Islanders are a contender, so the sting doesn’t hurt as much as losing to the Kings in overtime. However, when a team leader comes out and says what Torey Krug said, the team needs to make some adjustments.
Torey Krug: "I think we really have to hate to lose more. The more you hate to lose, the more you don't accept these outcomes, you don't accept the way that you're playing. Everyone has a big role. Let's get back to it."

I think that pretty much encapsulates it.
Hopefully the B’s will want to win on Saturday night against the Nashville Predators, a dreadful team full of losing.
that was a good game last night, first time i have been since last December, i thought i got fatter but someone told me the seats are smaller now?
Oh how long to be able to breathe through my nose again.
Welcome to my childhood!
I don’t think I had both nostrils working for 2 weeks in a row during a 3 year period.
I’ve come to accept my fate and will now chop my head off.
And usually when I have a cold I don’t have much of an appetite but this time around it’s been MUST EAT ALL THE THINGS BECAUSE NEVER NOT HUNGRY!
Feed a cold, starve a fever!
you are stuck like that, like chucky in rugrats
Hey All!
Watched in the bar last night. Glug, glug.
Bar watching is a good idea when the team isn’t quite getting the job done.
“Welp, it looks like this is gonna turn south – barkeep, gimme a 3-fingers-and-a-pig-snout stout.”
My package store owner showed up and started buying me booze!!!!
Morning all. What is the record for most loser points in a season?
IDK, but this year the Bruins will shatter it.
The Bruins are now 2-8 in OT. That’s pretty glaring.
If they aren’t competitive when getting to OT, perhaps they should try harder to win in regulation.
Last night’s result was unsurprising because NYI are the best OT team in the league, and the Bruins are literally the worst. Their strategy in OT was to dominate possession – which they did impressively – but they seemed completely uninterested in playing in the offensive zone. They were not playing to win, they were playing not to lose.
isles use that same strategy in OT, they try and get the tired guys to bite on the shift change and then they push to the Ozone, it can work well both teams were pretty conservative all game though.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
It’s deja vu all over again!
Who knew the Groundhog Day conversation yesterday would be so relevant!!
At least it actually is Friday this time.
Or is it!!??

Ha! I even had a friend convinced for a bit yesterday that it was Friday!
