Game Day Thread: Penguins @ Bruins

Bruins vs Penguins

The Bruins are at home today, facing off against the Penguins.

Tonight the Bruins are celebrating the career of Tuukka Rask, their winningest goalie, who is at the 500 games mark

The timing is a little awkward, as Tuukka will not suit up to play tonight.

The Bruins are now at 27-9-12, putting them 1st in the Atlantic, and 3rd in the league, and a few points behind the Capitals and the Blues (however, they do have a 4-game lead above the next team in overtime losses)

Last time, on Bruins hockey…
The Bruins were on the road, and they got shut out.
Tuukka got an elbow to the head and is now on IR.

What will be the lineup today?
Ho, jeez.

Connor Clifton is still out with an upper body injury picked up vs the Sabres.
Coach Bruce Cassidy was unsatisfied with Matt Grzelcyk’s performance, and will suit up Steven Kampfer in his stead.

Brett Ritchie was sent down to Providence and David Backes will sit out again tonight.
Charlie Coyle remains as 3rd center and long-time AHL call-up Anders Bjork will be at 2nd-line right wing again.

Injured defensemen Kevan Miller (fractured kneecap) is still not close to being ready for his season debut.
Forwards Karson Kuhlman and Anton Blidh have been playing in Providence.
Kuhlman has been called up tonight.

Tuukka Rask will NOT be in goal. Jaro Between the pipes, with Dan Vladar called up.
