Game Day Thread: Killer Whales from Western Canada Against Local Bears

gameday

The Canucks are in town. Like I said this morning, this Canucks team should not be taken lightly. Last season when the Bruins faced the Canucks, the Canadian team beat our boys 8-5 in November at home and 6-1 in Vancouver. But that was last year before the B’s really figured it out, right? Well, sure, but it could happen again because the team is inside your house!

Anyway, the Canucks are coming off a back-to-back over the weekend, one in which they won and lost by identical scores in OT, 4-3; they won against the Isles and lost to the Canes. After a quick look at the Canucks games of the last couple of weeks, they’re pretty much averaging 4 goals per game, so if the B’s can keep them under that and score more, both of which they are capable of doing, they can win this game.

As for the Bruins, they’re riding a current 3-game win streak while maintaining there leading status in The Atlantic Division. There have been all sorts of confusion as to the lineup for tonight. Danton Heinen sat out Saturday night with a minor injury. Even though he looked to be better on Monday, he is out tonight as a healthy scratch. Sean Kuraly, who also sat in the press box on Saturday night, is back in on Charlie Coyle’s left wing tonight. Joakim Nordstrom is out with some sort of allergy issue.

Let’s Do Some Lines!

Mmmm. Sounds tasty.
No beer for me tonight – but I did bake some homemade rye bread on Sunday, so I’ve been picking at that. Lots of tasty happening there.
