At last the Bruins return to the ice tonight to play the Montreal Canadiens for the final time this season. By final I really mean the last time: the Canadiens are 7 points out of a playoff spot in a conference in which both Wild Card spots are filled by Metropolitan division teams. Bruins players themselves seem to be looking forward to this matchup yet again.

Cliffy Hockey returned to practice this past weekend in a red no-contact jersey. While he has been ruled out for tonight’s game, he has been upgraded to regular contact, meaning his return will happen soon, likely this weekend.
.@connorcliff28 on his return to practice this morning: "Felt really good, felt good to be back with the guys, first contact practice. It was nice to get that under the belt. Progressing well. Hopefully [back] soon." pic.twitter.com/9rCYErJURh

This probably explains why Jeremy Lauzon was returned to Providence.
Joakim Nordstrom, who has been away from the ice while dealing with some sort of allergy issue, will return tonight.
#NHLBruins updates per coach Bruce Cassidy:
Connor Clifton returned to practice but will not play against Montreal.
Joakim Nordstrom is expected to play tomorrow.

Looks like it will be Tuukka in net tonight.
Unrelated to the Bruins but very much related to hockey: Jay Bouwmeester collapsed on the St Louis bench last night during a game against the Anaheim Ducks. He was reportedly alert and awake while being transferred to the hospital but it’s still a scary situation. The game was postponed to a later date as a result.

#stlblues telecast says Jay Bouwmeester was alert and responsive as he was being taken to the hospital. @Panger40 reported that a defibrillator was “close by” and #stlblues and #nhlducks trainers and doctors were on the case immediately.

Hopefully nothing serious has happened to him and that he makes a speedy recovery.
Statement form the Blues:
Huge thank you to the medical staff for their hard work. All the best to Jay for a speedy recovery.
I actually forgot the Habs existed. Sure, laughing at the Habs woes can be funny. But the rivalry is way more fun when they are battling it out in the playoffs.
Dude’s played more than 1200 games – you’d think if he had heart issues it would’ve shown up before now. Scary. Can only wish him all the best.
Yeah, i remember one season (or seasonal and a half) when we just couldn’t beat the Habs. That was no fun. But it’s not much more fun when they’re a load of crap! Tight, hard-hitting games that the Bs win. Is that so.much to ask for?!
Hi folks.
Awful to see that. Hope he makes a full recovery.
Wonder what Nordy is allergic to?
